At approximately 7:55 in the evening, Alex and Gema were finishing their walk along the seashore. Gema, sitting on a rock, gazed at the waves crashing against the coast and at how the grayish color of the ocean blended perfectly with the horizon, where the sun failed to appear that afternoon due to the clouds. Suddenly, Alex approached her, knelt down, and asked the most important question of his life: “Babe, you are the most beautiful person in the world. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Would you formally accept my offer of marriage?” At that moment, Alex opened a small black satin box he took out of his pocket, inside of which was a beautiful ring. Gema could not believe it; in that moment… THE moment was happening. “Yes,” she said almost instantly, smiling as she looked at her beloved and returned the gesture. After the proposal and sharing an emotional smile, they also shared a small, tender kiss. Alex took the ring out of the box and then proceeded to remove the duo of sun and moon rings that Gema had been wearing on her ring finger, as a symbol of the promise of a future marriage that Alex had made to her two years earlier. Alex gently placed the engagement ring on her finger while Gema remained in shock. Once the ring was on, Gema looked at it on her hand for the first time, as emotion caused a few tears to escape. Even though Gema and Alex reminded each other daily of how much they love one another and had been fully sharing their lives for three years, this formalization of their commitment represented a new beginning at another level of their lives.

Aproximadamente a las 7:55 de la tarde, Alex y Gema terminaban su caminata a la orilla del mar. Gema, sentada en una piedra, contemplaba cómo las olas rompían en la costa y cómo el color grisáceo del océano se mezclaba perfectamente con el horizonte, donde el sol no se dejó ver aquella tarde por las nubes. Would you formally accept my offer of marriage?” En eso, Alex abrió una pequeña cajita de satín negra que sacó de su bolsillo, donde se encontraba un hermoso anillo. Gema no lo podía creer; en ese momento… EL momento estaba sucediendo. “Yes”, dijo casi al instante, mientras sonreía y contemplaba a su amado, devolviéndole el gesto. Después de la propuesta y de haber compartido una emotiva sonrisa, compartieron también un pequeño y tierno beso. Alex sacó el anillo de la cajita; después procedió a retirar el dúo de anillos del sol y la luna que Gema tenía en su dedo anular, como símbolo de la promesa de un futuro matrimonio que Alex le había hecho dos años atrás. Alex colocó con delicadeza el anillo de compromiso mientras Gema seguía en shock. Una vez teniendo el anillo, Gema lo contempló en su mano por primera vez, mientras la emoción hacía que unas lágrimas se escaparan. A pesar de que Gema y Alex se recordaron a diario lo mucho que se aman y han estado compartiendo completamente sus vidas por tres años, esta formalización de su compromiso significó un nuevo comienzo en otro nivel de sus vidas.
