Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Gabrielle Geiger and Patrick Scara
Meet our family and friends who will be walking down the aisle with us on our big day!

Gabrielle Geiger

Bride

Most people know Gabe as a caregiver, confidant, and emotional sponge. She is a lover of writing, reading, gaming, and wandering outside. Able to talk to any stranger, and unable to ignore an inconsistency, she makes for a loyal and useful friend. Her inquisitive nature and creativity mean Gabe is always picking up a new hobby and eager to get involved in pretty much any community or activity she is passionate about, and she has many passions. She is thrilled to be sharing this time with you all in the beautiful Pacific Northwest wilderness where she and Pat first fell in love.

Patrick Scara

Groom

New Jersey born, LA raised, Midwest educated, and lived abroad, Pat is not easily defined. Always striving to understand himself and others better, he is dedicated to continual growth and improvement with unmatched openness. Others are drawn to his judgement-free attitude and existential bend which makes for great conversation (Gabe notes she also doesn't Google much anymore due to Pat's breadth and depth of knowledge). Pat is happiest when he is learning a new skill or perfecting an old one; playing guitar especially. He is truly touched to have friends like you supporting him today and always.

Angelina Wittenkeller

Bridesmaid

Gabe has known Angel since birth! The two filled their long childhood days with imaginative play (for lack of choice, it was the 90's) and Gabe fondly remembers climbing trees, making dirt soup for their play restaurant, summoning on the Ouija board, and trying to teach each other Sign Language so they could chat late into the night without getting in trouble for being loud. You might not believe it today, but the first decade or so of their lives everyone thought they were twins. It was fun enough to pretend, but once Gabe sprouted an extra 6 inches, the jig was up. Still, to this day, Gabe feels there are some thoughts only her fake twin can understand, and she often does with just a look. Gabe cannot imagine this day without her sister, and is honored she will be escorting the best boy down the aisle.

Austin Scara

Groomsman

Austin and Pat had distinct personalities growing up but always shared a strong sense of humor, keeping the brothers' group chat active and populated by LOTR deep cuts and Ghost Adventures "evidence." Some of their most meaningful moments were shared while living together in Seattle after Pat completed Undergrad. An often-shared epic of this genre includes the pair achieving hero status by calling in the Coast Guard (while chemically impaired) to save a dog from drowning in Elliott Bay. Pat describes Austin as one of the smartest people he knows, and definitely the silliest, a constant reminder to stay young at heart. Pat is proud to have Austin by his side in the meaningful and trivial moments.

Tricia Geiger

Bridesmaid

Gabe is especially lucky her brother found a brilliant partner to share his life with, who seems to improve everyone else's along the way. Tricia joined the Geiger family when Gabe was a teenager, but it felt like she had always been there. Tricia's endless thoughtfulness and extraordinary planning abilities always bring the family together for fun and celebration. Her kindness and attention to the little ones has earned her the moniker, "Grandma Trish," and they are deeply fortunate for this. Gabe and Pat are grateful for her support and advice over the years, and are over-joyed to have her as part of this momentous day.

Andy Gargiulo

Groomsman

Andy and Pat pledged Alpha Delta Phi in 2012, and have been bonded by the brotherhood ever since. More than this, they connected through music, converting the basement of the fraternity into a practice space and forming The Diengers, the infamous rock band named after an obscure event only the in-crowd could understand. Andy's musical talent is surpassed only by his authenticity. His honesty, positivity, and ability to see the best in any situation puts others at ease and make him a steadfast friend. Pat feels truly fortunate for Andy's friendship and couldn’t imagine this day without him.

Erika Brennan

Bridesmaid

The first time Gabe met Erika, she was carrying a box full of baby squirrels and bottle-feeding them. Gabe knew right away they'd be fast friends. Erika moved to Seattle shortly after and they've shared countless milestones since then; from Luna's airport arrival, to filling a home with suspicious CraigsList roommates, and of course their year-long salute to JuiceTheGod while residing at the Delridge rental. Erika is the definition of easy-going, she truly does not see the flaws in others and conveys no malice, even in private. Her friendship has been central to Gabe's sanity over the past decade, and she and Pat get along even better. Crank the heat up to 80 (add a heated blanket) and cozy up for all day football, dip, and Space Coke. Some friends become family.

Max Delong

Groomsman

Max and Pat met "at the same exact moment as Andy," while pledging their fraternity back in 2012. Their bond deepened in more recent years after reconnecting while Max was visiting Seattle with his (now) wife, Gabrielle. Pat has many fond memories of their friendship over the years, one highlight being the recurrent character Max affected when calling in to Andy’s college radio show: Rippy's Radical Radio Show. Max would often join in the chaos under a pseudonym and alternate persona with hilarious results. Pat describes Max as one of the most sincere, openhearted people he has ever met. He’s never afraid to push himself if it means growing or supporting someone he cares about, and Pat respects him immensely. He is grateful to have Max standing beside him on this important occasion.

Chelsea Gilbert

Bridesmaid

Chelsea and Gabe met on Thanksgiving of 2014 at Erika's infamous "Lake City Apartment." Gabe was incredibly ill that day but managed to eat some of the soup that came with their traditional vegan Chinese dinner which the trio shared every year thereafter until the restaurant went out of business. Over the years, Chelsea introduced Gabe to or deepened her appreciation for many things she holds nostalgic to this day including Florence, MFM, Crazy Ex GF, and countless other pieces of media or art that keep people alive and well. They share an unparalleled joy of breakfast burritos, crossword puzzles, and medium walks in the wild. Gabe and Pat are happy to have her support on this day.

Sullivan Geiger

Flower Child

Sully is the best boy. Gabe and Pat cannot believe how fortunate they are to have created someone way cooler, cuter, smarter, sweeter, and more fun than either of them. They marvel at this all the time. Their love for Sullivan is endless. They couldn't be happier to share this love with you all.

Bill Geiger

Officiant

There aren't many things Gabe has accomplished without the quiet support of her brother. From the first car he purchased for her (the green Ford Taurus that stalled out 3 months later), to three college graduations, to the advice, encouragement, and several flights to Seattle to spend time with their growing family and support Pat and Gabe during early parenthood - Bill is simply the best. At any celebration, you can find Bill helping, organizing, and ensuring everyone else is happy. He spares no effort in making others feel welcome, and is often the "glue" that brings everyone together. Who better to serve such an important role on this special day. Gabe and Pat are truly honored.
