Getting There

Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, so no passport is needed if you’re coming from the States! Most guests will fly into Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan, which is about 45-50 minutes from our venue, Hacienda Siesta Alegre. Puerto Rico doesn’t have a lot of public transportation, and Ubers and taxis can be pretty limited, especially near our venue, which is tucked away in the mountains of Río Grande. We highly recommend renting a car for your trip if you’re staying outside the immediate area. This will make it much easier to explore, get to the venue, and enjoy the island at your own pace. If you’re staying with family or friends, carpooling on the day of the wedding is also a great option.

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach and Golf Resort

The Wyndham Rio Mar is in Río Grande, just about a 15-20 minute drive from our venue, Hacienda Siesta Alegre, so it’s super convenient for the wedding day. It’s perfect if you’re thinking of making a little vacation out of the trip.

Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico

Another great resort option nearby is the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve. It’s also in Río Grande, around 20-25 minutes from Hacienda Siesta Alegre.

Fairfield by Marriott Luquillo Beach

If you’re looking for something a little more low-key and budget-friendly, the Fairfield by Marriott in Luquillo is a great option! It’s located right across from Luquillo Beach and the famous Kioskos de Luquillo, a row of casual, beachfront restaurants and bars with great local food. It’s about a 20-25 minute drive to Hacienda Siesta Alegre, making it super convenient for the wedding day while also giving you easy beach access.

El Conquistador Resort

Located in Fajardo, about 45 minutes to an hour from our venue, El Conquistador Resort is a Puerto Rican classic! Known for its cliffside ocean views, beautiful pools, golf course, and access to its private Palomino Island, it’s perfect if you’re turning this trip into a mini vacation. Plus, it’s close to El Yunque Rainforest and the Fajardo bioluminescent bay for extra adventure before or after the wedding.

The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort, Puerto Rico

If you’re feeling fancy and want to treat yourself to a luxury experience, The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort is absolutely stunning. Located in Río Grande, it’s about 25 minutes from our venue. It’s surrounded by nature, has a private beach, a beautiful pool, and amazing restaurants. It’s definitely a splurge, but if you’re making this a getaway, it’s worth checking out!

Hotels in Isla Verde

If you’d rather stay closer to the airport or want more affordable hotel options, Isla Verde is a great area to look at! It’s about 45-50 minutes from Hacienda Siesta Alegre, but you’ll be near the beach, restaurants, and nightlife. Some popular hotels in Isla Verde include: Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort Fairmont El San Juan Hotel Hampton Inn & Suites San Juan This area is super convenient for flying in and out, and you’ll still get to enjoy some beach time! Just keep in mind, it’s a bit of a drive to the venue, so we definitely recommend renting a car or organizing a carpool with friends and family for the wedding day.
