They met each other in high school. Andrew's cousin and Deanna's good friend, Siobhan Williamson, invited them both to her birthday party at her house in Antioch, CA in October of 2011. Sparks flew, and it wasn't from the birthday candles ;) After texting back and forth ardently, and showing hints of significant interest in each other over the following days, Andrew decided to send that *risky text* and ask Deanna if she'd like to go out with him, *gasp*. Since she had felt butterflies from the moment they met, Deanna screamed internally, and texted back, "okay :)" After dating for about 6 short-but-sweet months, Andrew began to think about his upcoming senior year and going away for college in the near future. He started to run the numbers and asked himself, "what are the chances I marry my FIRST girlfriend?" Much to Deanna's dismay, Andrew ended the relationship, and the two parted ways. 4 years later, in May of 2016, Siobhan had another party at her house! She asked Deanna if it was okay that she was inviting Andrew; the cousins hadn't seen each other much besides for family gatherings due to Andrew going away for soccer and school, and Siobhan being busy with work. Deanna agreed, however, Andrew was not told Deanna would be there. When he arrived and saw Deanna in the kitchen, Andrew was stunned. He had taken some philosophy classes in college and, after a lot of reflecting on their previous relationship, he realized Deanna was THE ONE. Deanna didn't have the best opinion of him after being broken up with, and believed he would be like other guys she had seen: shallow or largely a jerk. To Deanna's surprise, Andrew had grown a lot for the better since they had last seen each other. She found herself largely enjoying his company, comfortable around him, and even *gasp* wanting his attention? Despite Deanna's initial hesitation and denial, she and Andrew became friends and, by mid summer, had fallen in love all over again! Since then they have only grown closer, adopted more cats, and fallen more deeply in love! They both look forward to exploring life and all it has to offer, together <3
