With an abundance of caution during the pandemic, we've decided to keep our wedding very small. While we wish we could celebrate this special day with all of our friends and family, we think under the current circumstances it is best to minimize contact .... we don't like this decision either <sigh>. Albeit from a distance, we would love for you to join us virtually in celebrating the beginning of our happily ever after. You'll find a Zoom link for the ceremony under the "Ceremony" tab. We much appreciate your continued love & support, and while we feel it was the right decision, we hope you understand it wasn’t easy to make.

First, there was the big bang, then dinosaurs roamed the earth while tectonic plates were shifting around to the continental formations we know of today. Fast forward a few hundred million years to 2017, Gayatri & Jon met each other while working on a project. Gayatri started inviting Jon to go hiking with colleagues later in the year. When the project completed early in the following year, those 2 continued to hike together and get coffee/tea while enjoying each other's company. Things got more serious when in April of 2018 after a hike, Gayatri asked Jon "What are we doing?" ... and official dating commenced! Zooming ahead, on October 21, 2020, without a ring in hand, Jon popped the question to Gayatri in the romantic scenery of their kitchen (because he didn't want to wait any longer). The rest, as they say, is history. That brings us to Jon & Gayatri's wedding day when they will share their vows to spend the rest of their lives with each other. Jon is a coffee powered snowman - grew up in Midland, MI, then moved much further north to Houghton, MI for college and developed an affinity for cold weather and coffee. After working on a Formula SAE team during college, he decided to pursue a career in the automotive industry, moving to Indiana to work on diesel engines at Cummins Inc. Outside of work Jon enjoys playing his guitar & golfing. Gayatri is a hiking obsessed tea lover - she grew up in Pune, India, with easy access to the Sahyadri mountains, where her love for hiking evolved. After finishing college, she moved across the globe to Indiana to attend graduate school. Despite the lack of mountains, she continued to live in Indiana as working at Cummins presented exciting research opportunities. She enjoys running, baking & reading. Her hiking adventures have taken her to exciting places like the Himalayas, Swiss Alps, and several mountain tops in the United States. Together, they enjoy bike rides around town & love working as middle school robotics mentors.
