11:00 am - 2:00 pm
This is ceremony will take about 60 minutes, and will be mostly conducted in Sanskrit with some explanations spoken in Tamil and English. Of course, we would be honored if you joined us for this ceremony, but we also totally understand that we’re asking you to get up early on a Friday morning and fight through traffic to sit through a ceremony for an hour and a half. As much as it might sound like it, this isn’t a test to see how much you love us, so please don’t feel any pressure to attend. There are plenty of events over the rest of the weekend where we’ll get to see your beautiful faces. The ceremony is relatively casual, so guests are free to walk around, stand and sit as they wish. Also if you arrive late or leave early that's totally fine. Lunch will be served after the ceremony!
11:00 am - 12:30 pm
For those who opt to attend our wedding weekend virtually, we would love for you to join us via a live stream for a few of our events - Hindu Ceremony: https://youtu.be/P_lUe_Vgyxc Pithi / Sangeet: https://youtu.be/0zoDwDeEXsg
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
In a small ceremony ahead of the Sangeet, guests are invited to participate in the Pithi. This will be a relatively intimate and casual ceremony.
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
The muslim wedding ceremony, the Nikkah, will take place after the Pithi ceremony, where we'll make it official by dotting our Is and crossing our Ts. The Sangeet will follow afterwards. The Sangeet is where the party begins. The word Sangeet translates to ‘sung together’ from Sanskrit. This celebration will include dinner, dances performed by relatives and friends of the Bride and Groom, and an open dance floor to kick off the festivities. Mehendi services will also be offered during this time, where friends and family can have intricate henna patterns drawn on their hands and feet if they so choose.
5:00 pm - 11:00 pm
The grand finale! Congratulations, you've made it through an entire weekend of events. Come celebrate with us at the Bel Air Bay Club, complete with dinner, drinks, cheesy speeches, and beautiful views. Cocktail hour starts at 5 PM, and there are some highly anticipated gorgeous views of the sunset at this time so we’d definitely recommend making it for the first hour. Cocktail Attire: Wear your favorite Indian outfit, cocktail dress, dressy jumpsuit, or dark jacket and slacks.
11:00 pm
After the reception, we'll be heading to The Lincoln in Venice to close out the weekend. For those of you who have any energy left; first of all, kudos, and it would be great to see you there. The Lincoln is close to the hotel room block in Marina Del Rey.
