While we love children, we have decided to give the adults a night off. We hope this doesn’t cause any issues, and you will still be able to celebrate with us. We understand completely though if you cannot accommodate this request. Your children do come first, and we hope to celebrate with you at another time.
Due to the limited capacity of our venue and meal arrangements- we will only be accommodating those listed on your invitation.
Please arrive no later than 20 minutes before the ceremony starts. Ceremony starts at 5:00pm. This will allow time for parking and walking over to the ceremony site. If you arrive late you will not be allowed to be seated and must wait over in the cocktail area until the ceremony is over.
Cocktail attire. I'm asking everyone to stick with our wedding colors, neutrals, or black when it comes to their attire. I attached my mood board, I'm using for wedding planning, above to help. This will help make our wedding photos turn out even better. So please, no really bright, or bold patterned attire. The sand there is hard and packed in so I would suggest chunky heels or wedges for women. Some pathways may get hot in the sun, so shoes are definitely recommended for all. We are also kindly asking female guests to avoid dress colors traditionally reserved for the bride- whites, ivories, and creams.
October is a moderately hot autumn month in Key Largo, Florida, with an average temperature ranging between max 82.2°F. The average low-temperature is 78.8°F. Still a humid place, but the locals I've talked to swear it's a beautiful time to visit Key Largo and that the weather there is a bit different than the mainland Florida. I know hurricanes are questionable around this time. I've been assured that their wind and water current patterns direct the brute force of tropical storms to sweep around them. However, weather can be unpredictable and out of our control. I would suggest, looking into travel insurance. we're getting wedding and travel insurance.
If you're making a vacation out of this time and staying multiple days like we are, I'd definitely rent a vehicle. Explore the keys and have an amazing time! I recommend using the app Turo to rent a vehicle.
