Wedding Party

Tyler Gavin

Groom

Rachel Moutis

Bride

Sean Maldonato

Groomsman

Sean and Tyler first met in fourth grade on the football field, but their friendship truly began to take shape years later in high school when they attended the same regional school, shared multiple classes each year, and played four consecutive seasons of football together. During those years, they grew not only as teammates, but as people, learning what it meant to show up for one another. That bond deepened even further when both committed to William Paterson University of New Jersey and became roommates for three years. As roommates, they supported each other through some of the most challenging and formative moments of their lives, offering patience, perspective, and steadiness when it mattered most. It was during this time that Sean was present from the very beginning of Tyler and Rachel’s friendship, watching their connection grow naturally and standing beside Tyler as that friendship became the relationship it is today. Sean’s quiet loyalty, consistency, and presence through every season of Tyler’s life make him an especially meaningful part of this day and this story.

Katie DeMottie

Bridesmaid

Rachel and Katie have known each other for nearly their entire lives. Growing up on the same street meant they were always around one another, but it wasn’t until second grade that they became true friends and completely inseparable. Before long, Rachel became a frequent presence at the DeMottie household, spending countless afternoons there, with sleepovers happening so often that her parents eventually accepted Rachel as another daughter. That closeness carried them through middle school and into high school. Even when they attended different schools, Rachel at Morris Tech and Katie at Parsippany Hills, Rachel made sure the distance never mattered by joining the Parsippany Hills track team simply to spend more time with Katie, despite the fact that they lived just down the street from one another. Their friendship continued to grow in college, where even the most ordinary errands somehow turned into time spent together, including spontaneous late-night trips to foster and feed kittens. Today, Katie lives in Chicago, embracing her next chapter, and while the distance is felt, their connection remains unchanged. They still make it a point to see each other whenever possible, often picking up right where they left off. Katie’s loyalty, thoughtfulness, and unwavering support have made her a constant in Rachel’s life, and her presence during this journey has meant more than words can express as Rachel begins this new chapter.

Andy Gavin

Groomsman

Growing up, Tyler and Andy spent much of their time side by side, bonded through a shared love for sports and the experiences that came with it. Whether it was playing wiffle ball and football in the yard or spending hours playing video games together, those moments created a connection that has remained constant through every stage of life. Even when things did not always go Andy’s way, like when they would play video games and Tyler would purposely not plug in Andy’s controller all the way so, unbeknownst to him, it was disconnected, or when their childhood WWE matches left Andy clearly outmatched, it all became part of the memories they still laugh about today. As they got older, those moments evolved into real but playful fights, where Andy more than held his own, even making Tyler tap out on more than one occasion, something he will never let him forget. As they’ve grown, that bond has developed into one built on trust, respect, and a genuine friendship. Attending the same college just a few years apart, they experienced many of the same stages of growth, continuing to look to each other for support and guidance along the way. While Andy has carved out his own path, the foundation they built together continues to shape them both. Tyler is proud to see the person Andy has become and knows that his personality and character will continue to take him far.

Emily Moutis

Bridesmaid

Emily Moutis is Rachel’s younger sister, and from the very beginning, they have shared a truly special bond. For the first thirteen years of Rachel’s life, she and Emily shared a bedroom, creating some of their favorite memories together. Those years were filled with late nights, silly games, and endless conversations about absolutely nothing. Like most sisters, there was no shortage of bickering growing up, especially since Emily always wanted to do everything Rachel was doing. As the years went on, however, their bond only grew stronger. Even after they eventually had their own separate bedrooms, they still found themselves staying up late together, bouncing between rooms just to talk. Emily’s loyalty, encouragement, and infectious sense of fun bring laughter wherever she goes, and Rachel is incredibly grateful not only to have Emily in her life but to be lucky enough to call her her sister. Emily’s constant presence, love, and support make her an especially meaningful part of this next chapter.

Matthew Higgins

Groomsman

Matt and Tyler have known each other since middle school, when they first began playing baseball together and went on to spend nearly every summer on the same travel teams. Those summers were filled with long days, questionable decisions, and memories that still get laughed about years later. From getting yelled at for attempting airsoft wars inside a camping tent in the backyard, to endlessly tormenting their younger brothers, Andy and Joey, those moments became the foundation of a lifelong friendship. Although they grew apart during high school when Tyler stopped playing baseball, they reconnected in a meaningful way during the summer after senior year and have remained close ever since. Even after Matt moved to Florida and became engaged, the bond never faded. As a fun fact, Matt and Tyler also share the same birthday, a fitting detail for two people whose lives have remained so closely connected. Tyler deeply appreciates Matt and his fiancée, Deena, and is grateful to have them as part of this chapter.

Margaret Harman

Bridesmaid

Margaret is Rachel’s older sister and someone Rachel has always looked up to. As the firstborn, Margaret naturally led the way, playing a significant role in guiding Rachel through life. From helping her navigate friendships and emphasizing the importance of education, to encouraging her to always be her best self, Margaret helped shape Rachel into the person she is today. Not many people can say their sister was also part of their everyday high school friend group, but Rachel can. Whether it was spontaneous drives with the music blasting or long walks around Parsippany just talking, many of Rachel’s favorite memories were shared side by side with her sister. As they have grown and matured, their relationship has evolved into one filled with long phone calls and meaningful conversations, catching up on all the exciting moments in their lives. Margaret has continued to be a steady source of guidance and support, including throughout the wedding planning process, drawing from her own experience and always willing to help Rachel through each step. Just as she has been present for every major milestone before, Margaret’s support during this chapter has meant more than words can express. Rachel feels incredibly lucky to have a sister who has been both a role model and a lifelong friend.

Jesus Sosa

Groomsman

Jesus, known to everyone as “Sosa,” is one of the most kind-hearted and hardworking people Tyler has ever known. He is the type of person who can be called at any hour and would show up without hesitation if Tyler or anyone in his family needed anything. Their friendship began through high school football and has continued to grow stronger after ever since. Sosa approaches everything with care and intention, and it shows in the way he treats the people around him. He is the kind of friend who comes over for a weekend visit with groceries in hand, stays the night, and wakes up early to run the dishwasher, tidy up, and make sure things are in order before leaving. He has experienced many of life’s moments alongside Tyler as an adult, strengthening a bond built on trust, gratitude, and mutual respect. So much a part of the family, Sosa even calls Tyler’s mom “Mom.” His generosity, reliability, and habit of leaving every place better than he found it make him family in every sense of the word.

Tori Gavin

Bridesmaid

Tori Gavin is Tyler’s younger sister, about eighteen months younger than him. Rachel met Tori back when she and Tyler were just friends, long before their relationship became what it is today. As Tyler and Rachel’s relationship grew, so did Rachel’s bond with Tori, who was there to witness it from the very beginning. Growing up in a household dominated by boys, Tori learned early on how to hold her own, and Rachel is grateful to join as a sister figure for Tori. Despite still being outnumbered by the Gavin boys, having each other by their side has brought balance, laughter, and a true sense of sisterhood. What Rachel enjoys most is their times sipping on wine and just enjoying each others company in conversation, whether it be about their recent book interests or their future life goals. Rachel cherishes their connection and feels incredibly lucky not only to be marrying Tyler but also to be gaining a sister like Tori as part of this next chapter.

Liam Adams

Groomsman

Liam and Tyler were not always especially close growing up, but their friendship took shape during the summer after high school graduation and has remained strong ever since. That period marked the beginning of a bond built on shared experiences, countless late nights, and memories that still make them laugh years later. Much of their time together in their late teens and early twenties was filled with questionable decisions and stories that are best left between friends. Through it all, their connection grew into a steady and lasting friendship. Liam’s presence throughout those years helped shape some of Tyler’s favorite memories, making him an important part of this chapter and the journey that led here.

Mickey Gavin

Groomsman

Mickey is Tyler’s older brother, and their relationship naturally deepened over time. In high school, when Mickey was a senior and Tyler was a freshman, they shared a football locker room, an experience that helped bridge the age gap and bring them closer. Tyler also quickly learned to appreciate the perks of having an older brother who could drive. As the years went on, that connection continued to strengthen. Despite the age difference, Mickey played a significant role in shaping not only Tyler, but their entire family. As the oldest sibling, he was often the first to navigate new experiences and carried responsibility early on, frequently looking after his younger siblings while their parents worked. His steady presence, quiet leadership, and example helped lay the foundation for the people they would all grow into, making his role in Tyler’s life both meaningful and lasting.

Gina Gavin

Mother of the Groom

Tyler’s mom is the definition of selfless and supportive, someone who has always put her family before herself in every way possible. While raising four kids, she worked multiple jobs, at times balancing two or even three at once, including overnight shifts, yet still made it a priority to be present and supportive at home and on the field. No matter how busy or demanding life became, she did everything she could to ensure her children had a full and meaningful childhood. Her compassion and willingness to give to others, often at her own expense, shaped not only the environment they grew up in, but the people they became. As Tyler has grown, her role in his life has remained just as important. She is still the person he turns to for guidance, advice, and all of the everyday questions that only a mom can answer. Her constant support and steady presence have been a foundation throughout every stage of his life. She has also embraced Rachel with open arms, and is grateful to be gaining a daughter while being part of this next chapter and the wedding journey. Tyler is incredibly thankful for everything she has done and continues to do, and for the example she has set through her strength, love, and unwavering dedication to her family.

Elizabeth Moutis

Mother of the Bride

Rachel's mother is someone who is the kind of woman whose strength is felt before it is spoken—a steady presence, grounded and unshakable. Strong-minded and deeply intuitive, she trusts her instincts and stands firm in her values, guiding her family with both wisdom and determination. She faces challenges head-on, which is something Rachel has always admired about her. At the heart of everything she does is her family. They are her greatest purpose and her proudest accomplishment. She creates a home filled with warmth, loyalty, and unwavering support. Whether through small everyday moments or life’s biggest milestones, she shows up fully, giving her time, her energy, and her whole heart. Growing up, her sole focus was to take care of Rachel and her two sisters as a stay at home mom. She took this role with pride, as she dedicated all of her time to making sure her children had happy and fulfilled lives. She was a girl scout leader, and supported her girls through the many sports and dance lessons she took them to. Now, she continues to be there for Rachel when she needs guidance, or even just to chat, because she is always there to answer her call. Rachel is eternally grateful for all of the help and guidance her mother has provided her, and could not be more happy than to have her support on this special day, especially since it is at the same church that she and her father got married in 33 years ago!

Michael Gavin

Father of the Groom

Tyler’s dad is a steady and supportive presence who played a defining role in shaping who he is today. He instilled in Tyler a deep love for sports, something that became a constant throughout his life and remains one of the strongest bonds they share to this day. From coaching countless teams to volunteering his time as the local Little League president for seven years, he was always there, not just for his own kids, but for the entire community. That same commitment carried into Tyler’s high school years, where he could always be found standing at the top of the bleachers, whether in pouring rain or freezing temperatures, moments neither of them will ever forget. At home, he was laid-back, whether it was playing video games with Tyler and his brothers or simply spending time together; he created a sense of ease and enjoyment that defined much of their childhood. His consistency, reliability, and quiet support set an example that Tyler carries with him today. He has also warmly welcomed Rachel into the family, and Tyler is grateful for the steady presence and support his dad brings to this next chapter.

Anthony Moutis

Father of the Bride

Rachel's father is an admirable man, and has been an important role model for her and her sisters. Growing up, he worked in New York with long hours, but when he came home at night it was always an exciting part of the day for her and her sisters. He is a hard working man, but dedicated his free time to his family. On weekends, he coached sports, or was the videographer to his girls movies they would create. Now, this role has transitioned more to family photographer, as he is always one to show up to events with a nice camera. No matter the activity, he is always there to have a good time with his family. Rachel's father is the kind whose presence brings an immediate sense of calm. Steady and grounded, his words carry meaning—thoughtful, measured, and always exactly what you need to hear. His advice isn’t loud or forceful; it’s quiet wisdom, shaped by experience and delivered with care. He has a way of making any problem feel manageable. No matter the situation, he listens first without judgment or interruption. You never have to worry about being misunderstood, because he meets you with patience, understanding, and genuine support. With him, you feel grounded, encouraged, and capable of figuring things out. His calm demeanor and steady belief in you become a kind of anchor—reminding you that no matter what life throws your way, you’re never facing it alone, which is why Rachel could not be more happy to have him by her side on this big day.
