Seal Cove Picnic Area
This is the beach where Gavin proposed! It's a beautiful spot to catch a sunset (and go metal detecting!)
Flying Mountain Trailhead
Flying Mountain is just down the road from the Orav's house. Short and sweet, and when you get to the top you can see Jesuit Field, where the ceremony is taking place!
Long Pond
Long Pond is one of our favorite swim spots. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards too!
Bar Island
You can walk across a sand bar to Bar Island at low tide, just make sure you make it back across before the tide comes in! There is great tidepooling, trails to explore, and an old farmhouse to discover.
Acadia Mountain Trailhead
Acadia Mountain is a great, moderate hike on the quietside of the island (where the wedding is) with great views at the top. Take a dip in Echo Lake at the ledges when you get back down!
Precipice Trail
The Precipice is one of our favorite hikes, but it's not for the faint of heart. It's got substantial vertical climbing portions with ladders included, and fantastic views off the cliff face all the way up.
Schooner Head Overlook
Check out Anemone Cave here at low tide. Climb down the cliff into the cave and find lots of cool tidepool critters like starfish and anemones. Just don't slip!

Little Long Pond
Dogs are allowed off leash here! Dog or not, it's a lovely spot to walk around, mild grade and even footing most of the way.
Sieur de Monts Nature Center
A beautiful spot to walk around with boardwalks through the trees and a native plant garden to explore. Also a great starting point for lots of hikes!
