Hopefully these FAQs will help you predict what the wedding will be like. The event is technically a destination wedding, but please don't feel obligated to stay overnight.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as possible, but Halloween is our deadline.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 4, so feel free to arrive 15 minutes or so early to choose your seats.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No dress code. We want you to be comfortable, so it's your choice. All we ask is no gym clothes or pajamas! Remember that this will be winter, but the climate is similar to southeastern Louisiana's in late December: so, totally unpredictable. Keep this in mind as you ponder what to wear!

How big of a wedding will this be?

Answer

It's going to be a fairly small wedding ("microwedding" is the term they're using in the biz). Bridal party, immediate family, and special, lifelong friends only. If you need to decline the invitation, though, we totally understand! We'll keep you posted about any celebrations we can manage to have back in NOLA for a wider circle of loved ones.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Nope. Sorry not sorry.

Question

I have a food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know as soon as possible about any food allergies or other requests. Vegan food will be available. See the event schedule for a tentative menu.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The Malaga Inn offers free parking for guests who book using the hotel's website or who book over the phone. Stay tuned for info about parking for others.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are both at the hotel, so no transportation necessary.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We're keeping it simple: there's just the wedding ceremony, and the reception will take place right after in the carriage house, located at the back left corner of the courtyard. The whole event will take place at the Malaga Inn, beginning at 4 pm and ending around 9 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

Question

Is the wedding venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The Malaga Inn is wheelchair accessible on the first floor only. If you are staying at the Malaga and need a room on the first floor due to limited mobility, please call the hotel to book your room rather than booking online.
