Rudyard Kipling's Naulakha & Carriage House

Located in Dummerston, Rudyard Kipling's estate is a national historic landmark. It is located about 30 minutes from White Barn Farm. The estate consists of Naulakha, which has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and the Carriage House, which has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Both locations are next to each other and can be rented separately.

Booking Accommodations During Peak Foliage Season

Guests should be mindful that New England, Vermont in particular, experiences a large influx of leaf-peeping tourists in late September during foliage season. Secure your accommodations as soon as you can so that you aren't competing with others for a dwindling supply of hotel rooms, AirBnBs, and rental cars.

Airports for International Travelers

Although the venue is close to several airports, we recommend that overseas guests fly into Boston or NYC, which are larger international hubs and have more availability in terms of rental cars. The Boston airport is approximately 2.5 hours from southern Vermont, while JFK in NYC is approximately 3.75 hours.
