Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden
The Cincinnati Zoo hosts it's famous festival of lights during the holiday season. It is very fun and kid friendly. Gary and I have gone almost every year since we have been together.
Coney Island Amusement Park
You might be wondering, "Why did she recommend a pool in December?" Well, Coney Island puts on an amazing drive-thru light show in the evening. This is a fun event, and great for children.
Krohn Conservatory
During the holiday season Krohn Conservatory puts on a live nativity scene and you can interact with all the animals. Fun for kids and the best part is that the nativity scene is free. Tickets to go inside and see the plants and butterflies might be worth it though.
Hofbräuhaus Newport
We obviously could not leave out the Hofbrauhaus in Newport, KY right across from the Aloft hotel where the out of town guests will be staying. This is the place the Bride and Groom met, but it just so happens that it is also a lot of fun to visit. Kid friendly with German music, and a great selection of beers for the adults.
Newport Aquarium
This is an option if the weather isn't so nice. During the winter they have a scuba diving Santa for the kids. It is right near the Aloft hotel where out of town guests will be staying.
Over-The-Rhine
For the foodies and brewery goers this area of Cincinnati now has a bunch of locally owned restaurants and breweries with an exciting night life.
