Biological Aunt, Mother by Choice Aunt Darla and Uncle Phil didn’t marry only because they loved each other deeply, but also because it allowed them to adopt Ashley and I and give us both more stable, loving lives. And they did exactly that—successfully and selflessly. We are truly the luckiest girls to have parents as loving, patient, and devoted as they are… even during the times we probably didn’t deserve it. Let’s be honest—teenage girls can be mean. Aunt Darla was our superhero. She carted us to every sport, tumbling practice, cheer event, and extracurricular activity we were involved in, all while somehow keeping everyone in line—including Uncle Phil (lol). Her strength, love, and unwavering dedication shaped who we are today. We love you so much, Aunt Darla. Thank you for choosing us and for being the incredible mother you are. 💕

Father of the Bride

Uncle by Marriage, Father by Choice Uncle Phil has always been our rock. Whether it was coaching from the sidelines, coming up with new sports strategies, teaching the proper way to hold a bat or a golf club—or how not to throw a softball (lol)—he was always there. He spent countless evenings helping with homework, never hesitating to show up when we needed him. At the same time, he was—and still is—the biggest kid at heart. He never backs down from a challenge and taught me one of the most important lessons in life: it’s okay to fall, but you get up, rub some dirt on it, and get right back at it. I love you, Uncle Phil. You’ve always been—and will always be—the best dad. ❤️

My best friend—and luckily, my coworker too. Chelsea and I have worked together for quite some time, and she is an absolute hoot. She’s feisty, spunky, and freaking hilarious. She is truly one of the best people I’ve ever met. She would do anything for just about anyone. She loves giving Ryan a hard time (don’t worry, he can definitely hold his own, and it’s always in love and good fun). And her cackle? Completely contagious—just wait, you’ll see! Chelsea is also the amazing mom to two incredible kiddos, Sutton and Damien, and the wife of Blaine Grauman, whom Ryan and I both adore. He’s pretty great too. Thank you for being my right-hand woman on one of the biggest days of Ryan’s and my lives. We love you, Chels!

My best friend. Becca and I also used to work together—she was a Medical Assistant with Ryan. The two of them would literally come “tell on” each other at least once a week (all jokingly, of course). Becca is so much fun and incredibly loyal. She will definitely keep you on your toes—she’s a total spitfire! She’s also my Taylor Swift–loving bestie, which I absolutely adore about her. She is deeply passionate about Taylor and, more importantly, about the people she loves. When Becca loves, she gives her whole heart—110% of the time. Sometimes she can come off a little harsh, but that’s just how things roll off her tongue—she always means well. She is an amazing mom and stepmom to three incredible kiddos whom Ryan and I adore: Aubrey, Lizzy, and Phillip. They call Ryan “Uncle Rooster” and me “Aunt Kayla,” which we absolutely love. Becca is married to her husband, Zach, who is just as amazing as she is. They truly are two peas in a pod, and we love them both so much. Thank you for being such a huge part of one of the biggest days of our lives!

Bride’s coworker and close friend to both the bride and groom. Kristie is one of the sweetest souls I’ve ever met—genuine to her core. She always tells it like it is and never sugarcoats a thing, yet still manages to be incredibly professional and one of the hardest workers I know. If she doesn’t know something, by gosh, she’s going to find out! Kristie is also a devoted wife to Daniel and an amazing mom to three wonderful kids: Max, Charlie, and Violet. She’s a huge part of the reason we’re all here celebrating today—she helped bring Ryan and I together. She believed in both of us and just knew we’d be the perfect match… and wow, was she right! We love you so much, Kristie. Thank you for everything!

Taylor is so much fun! I went to her bachelorette party a couple of years ago, and it was full of nonstop laughs. Taylor is a mom of three amazing kids. After she and Garrett (Ryan’s oldest Brother) got married, Garrett adopted her two oldest, Rylie and Asher—who are both incredible. Not long after, they welcomed sweet Reese Ann. Her little mean mugs are my absolute favorite! Ryan and I are so lucky to have such a loving, fun sister-in-law. We love you so much, Taylor!

Demi Cook

Demi—girl, you absolutely rock! You’re feisty, spunky, and you know how to get things done, which is honestly so inspiring. Keep doing your thing! She’s also an amazing mom to two adorable little girls, Camryn and Chandler. Camryn is just like her mama—sassy, spunky, and always ready to have a good time. Chandler is the chill one. She sits back, observes everything, and if you try to smile at her, she might roll her eyes and try to hide a grin. Eventually she gives in—but she definitely makes you work for it. Much respect, kiddo! Demi is married to Casey, who is a groomsman here today—and he’s pretty great too. P.S. I cannot wait to officially be sisters, Demi. It’s been a long time coming, and we love you so much, sis!

Kristie Costilla

Family friend—with the honorary title of Aunt (because she’s just that great… duh!). Aunt Kristi has always been a huge influence in my life—from childhood and even more so now. She’s my go-to advice counselor, when my mom isn’t available. She is one of the toughest yet kindest women I know, and her love for the Lord is truly admirable. She is an incredible mom to three wonderful kids—Breanna, Jake, and Emma—and a stepmom to Dominik (Dom), whom she claims fully as her own because she is a born mother through and through. Breanna, Dom, and I grew up together, spending our summers at Frontier City or White Water almost every single day. Aunt Kristi is also a proud grandma to baby Jay, who is absolutely adorable and hilarious—his Nanna’s prized possession. She would give that boy anything! She’s also the loving wife of Uncle James who is pretty great as well. He’s a jokester for sure. We love uncle James! If you ever get the chance to chat with Aunt Kristi, I highly recommend it—she’s truly a breath of fresh air. We love you so much, Aunt Kristi!

Steph—Phannie, or Mom—she carries many titles, and she wears each one beautifully. She is truly an inspiration. Always on the go and always providing for her family and grandbabies, she is a devoted mom of four: Ryan, Demi, Garrett, and Gavin. She is also the proud “Phannie” to her five grandchildren—Camryn, Chandler, Rylie, Reese, and Asher. Stephanie makes the most of every moment and deeply cherishes her family. She lives a well-structured, thoughtfully managed life and is a strong Christian woman with a heart full of love for those around her. She is married to Kelly, whom we all adore, and together they have built a beautiful family rooted in love and faith. We love you so much, Steph. I can’t wait to officially be your daughter—what a true gift that will be. And thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for raising such an incredible man.

Kelly is married to Stephanie and is a devoted father to their children, as well as a proud grandpa to five. He is a hardworking and extremely talented bricklayer who often works all around the world. I’ve never once seen him complain or fuss about his work. At home, Kelly takes on any project needed to help renovate and care for their beautiful home in Skiatook. Thank you, Kelly, for everything you do for your family. We love you so much!

Jon! Oh, there are a million things I could say about this guy! Jon has always been Ryan’s right-hand man—always there whenever we need him, day or night. He’s a devoted husband to his beautiful wife, Chelsea, and a loving dad to Jackson, who is named after Ryan and also happens to be our Godson. Jackson is such a smart, funny, and affectionate little boy—truly his momma’s best friend. We are so incredibly thankful to have all three of you in our lives. You’ve shown us what it means to have genuine, loyal friends. We love you guys so much!

Garrett is Ryan’s oldest brother. He may be a man of few words, but once you get to know him, he’s absolutely hilarious. His family is his greatest treasure. He is married to his beautiful wife, Taylor, who is truly a gem. Together, they have three amazing kids—Rylie, Asher, and Reese—whom they adore. They’ve built a wonderful, Christ-centered family, and Ryan and I hope to have what they have someday. We love you, Garrett!

Gavin – Gavie Gav He may be the baby brother, but he’s not so much of a baby anymore… though we’ve definitely heard the stories! Gavin is a patient, well-spoken man who chased his dream straight out of high school and is now an accomplished engineer. His parents should be incredibly proud of him (and I know they are!). Gavin is with Keagan, who is beyond beautiful, just as driven, and absolutely adored by everyone in the family—including me! She’s funny, spunky, and a perfect match for him. You’ve got a real keeper, Gav! We love you both!

Katie—where do we even start? Both Ryan and I love you more than you’ll ever know! She’s been my boss for 10 years (sheesh, how time flies!) and was Ryan’s and my boss for a total of five years. She’s truly seen it all—from the fun chaos of our annual OPM Christmas parties to the countless office advice sessions. Katie is a devoted wife to Matt, who is pretty great himself, and an amazing mom to two kids, Cooper and Maddie. Cooper has now graduated high school and is in college, while Maddie is still in high school and is her mom’s mini in every way. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being such a fantastic boss—and an even better friend, Katie!
