Summertime parking at the Lincoln Park will be very challenging. There are 2 parking lots, one large parking lot that you will see first, on the right, and then a smaller lot up the road, which will be the point of entry for where the gathering will be. There is street parking on the other side of the street, closer to the large parking lot. Check signs to be sure your spot is okay and check the timeframe for the parking. We are encouraging people to carpool, which we will help coordinate, or take UBER or LYFT. As the time nears, we will have more information on how all this will work. Check back later for updates on transportation.
Prepare for a summer day in the park - casual, but with layers, as we are in the Pacific North West and by the water. It can be very warm in the sun, and suddenly chilly in the shade with a breeze off the water. If you want to add a bit of personal flair for the occasion, feel free.
It's a month-long festival culminating in a weekend large scale events including airplane flyovers, war planes- Blue Angels and boat show/races on Lake Washington. The website will have updates schedules of events, and closer to the date it may list which roads will be closed: https://www.seafair.com/events/2019/seafair-weekend-festival Due to the festival, we changed venues (from Mt. Baker area close to our house) to Lincoln Park. The park is likely far enough away that we won't be disturbed very much by road closures or fly overs.
