Buena Vista
Check out downtown Main St to experience Buena Vista's historic mountain charm. There are several boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops. South Main Street is the newer part of town - grab a drink at Wesley & Rose at the Surf Hotel, hang in the lawn just outside or walk along the riverwalk.
Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort
Check out our favorite hot springs! The creekside hot springs are really unique. There is also a spa at the resort if you want a day of total relaxation :)
Barbara Whipple Trailhead
Easy and beautiful hikes along the river. Easy access from South Main Street.
Cottonwood Lake
Rent a kayak or SUP in town at CKS River Supply and go relax on the lake! About 20 minutes from downtown BV.
River Park Pickleball Courts
You will probably find us playing pickleball here throughout the weekend...
Gold Rush Days @ McPhelemy Park
There is a festival going on all weekend at McPhelemy Park: Celebrate Buena Vista's rich history, with artisan vendors, live music, burro races, old photo booths, costumes, food trucks, kid’s games, face painting, and much more!
Comanche Drive-In Theatre
Enjoy the nostalgia of a drive-in movie theater... right down the road from our wedding venue! The Comanche was built in 1966 by John and Pearl Groy, and had its first full season in 1967. It has remained a family business since that time. Sound is by FM radio. Use your car radio or bring your own portable.
Huron Peak
This is Amanda's favorite '14er' (a hike to 14k ft elevation). It's a good intro 14er, under 7 miles round-trip and a little over 3k ft elevation gain. Beware those coming from sea level as altitude sickness is very real at 14k feet!
