We have to have 50% of our guests stay at either Sandals Montego Bay, or Sandals Royal Caribbean resorts in order to have our ceremony and reception on resort. Guests may be able to stay off resort on a case by case basis, as long as we have equal parties on resort.
No there is not. I did inquire about both options, and neither were an option for the time of year we are booked. Many of our closest relatives were given a heads up with our plans back in February with official news sent out in May. Some have booked in advance and started paying towards it over time. You may book your room at any time directly online, or by calling Sandals. There is a minimal deposit due at time of booking (I believe $98). Total amount is due in December 2023. You can pay as you go until then at your own pace and leisure.
Bug spray, your own floats, Sun screen!
We really do understand that a trip to Jamaica may not be doable for everyone invited. We will be honored if you can make it. If not, we completely understand. We will celebrate in our own ways when we see you next. ❤️
If you are staying on resort, you will have shuttles to and from the resort. Sandals Montego Bay (SMB) is close to the airport. This is why we chose this resort for our wedding! Buckle up though, I hear the ride is bumpy!! Driving is done differently there. Bring some motion sickness medicine if you get remotely car sick.
It is already included in the cost of your stay. It is definitely not expected.
We are so excited to see everyone at our welcome cocktail and beverage hour the night before our wedding! We plan to spend time with our family and friends on the days leading up to our wedding and wedding day. Jordan and I will spend more secluded time together after our wedding night to move into our official honeymoon time.
The resort requires a 3 night minimum. We recommend February 12-15, or February 11-14th for the minimum. You can definitely stay longer! Make the most out of this trip.
If we are lucky enough for you to join us in Jamaica on our big day, please do not go out of your way to gift us otherwise (you are the gift!!). If you are unable to travel and would like to bless us with a gift, please use the registry tab to help us towards the wedding fund or choose a special item listed as needed.
Yes, this is an adult only resort. A part of us will be sad for that. If you stay off resort and may only attend with your kiddos, talk to me. I might be able to get permission for a few children to join, although they really stress it being adult only!
Yes there is! I will update this with the amount, but I believe it was 100-200 for the day to attend the wedding.
It is definitely discounted for food/chairs/tables/etc! We are paying per guest whether you stay on resort or not for welcome event, cocktail hour, reception, and after party. Please RSVP with your meal choice so we can budget accordingly. We are also paying an additional amount for the chapel which has limited seating, so please RSVP to help us plan accordingly. Depending on the group size, we will also pay additionally for dj, dance floor, entertainment, and extended open bar to accommodate a larger party. Please RSVP. ☺️💖 We did look into traditional wedding options back home, but we could not afford the traditional route. We are self funding our wedding, and this was the best option for us. For that reason we truly understand if it isn’t feasible for everyone to attend! No pressure at all.
Yes! This is a couples resort, and you are paying to join us! Please RSVP accordingly so we can accommodate meal arrangements for your guest.
Please ensure you are aware of pricing for your stay prior to RSVP’ing. You can go to sandals.com, choose either Sandals Montego Bay or Royal Caribbean locations, enter in Feb 12-15 or Feb 11-14th for the 3 night minimum. Ideally RSVP once room is booked. These RSVP’s are helpful for us to have an accurate headcount for welcome party, wedding ceremony, reception food and seating. Also to determine at least 50% of guests staying onsite.
