We’re getting married!!

Poor Jordan had to work around a few changing plans for his proposal! Thank goodness he is persistent. Apparently he had almost proposed on Halloween (we were headed out to town to visit a group of friends, but my grandpa fell ill and passed that weekend), Thanksgiving (in Utah at the most romantic Jazz night just the two of us.. until I halted his plan by answering his question of how I pictured a proposal with family and friends around 😅🤦🏼‍♀️), and then planned for NYE with a group of friends. He carried my ring through security on two separate trips hoping it wouldn’t ruin my surprise. We ended up planning a last minute trip to NYC for Christmas just the two of us. We had some last minute changes in our holiday schedule, and we both had always wanted to visit NYC. What better time than the holidays?! At check in, the hotel clerk spoke to Jordan as if she knew him. The room was booked under my name so I was confused! On our way up to the room, Jordan said she must have thought he was someone famous. I totally bought it! Apparently he had been working with her on arranging the perfect night all along. We walked into our high rise hotel room, and I saw rose petals leading to the bed, wine, and a flower arrangement. Jordan told me we were in the wrong room, and that he did not do this. In my mind I was a little disappointed that he didn’t! I told him we should at least take the bottle of vino back down with us! Then I noticed my name on the flowers, and he instantly dropped to one knee asking me to marry him. A night I’ll never forget. Truly a dream come true. 💖 The sweetest part is that I have dreamed since I was a little girl of being engaged in NYC at Christmas (just the two of us), but never in my wildest dreams would I have expected my dream to come true. I never told Jordan about that.
