Matron of Honor
MY MOST BESTEST FRIEND. I am so lucky to have Abi as the woman to stand beside me throughout this whole process. She knows me better than anyone and has my back continually. She's taught me much about the Lord's strength, there are few things in this world that render Abi defeated. She's a nurse at Summa in the NICU and is married to the best brother-in-law I could ask for. She's such a giver, if you ever visit their apt. on Portage I can promise you won't leave hungry. She makes me want to be more generous and to take on challenges as if they're already won.
Best Man
THIS GUY. Matthew is my manz. We've been partners in crime 5 years in the making. We've played hard and worked hard together. I see so much in Matthew that I respect and cherish. From humble beginnings as awkward freshmen to business partners and close friends, we've shared a lot of life. Matt is authentic in character, focused, inspired, and a clear son of God.
Bridesmaid
Rachel has been one of my closest friends in college. Meeting her was such a huge gift. We got to do so many amazing things together like traveling, living together, and leading worship at our college ministry. It was in these fun and incredible adventures that I saw Rachel's heart for Jesus and her heart for others. She makes me laugh more than anyone, she makes me want to sing praises 24/7 and she builds me up when doubts arise. So grateful to have her beside me.
Groomsman
Nick is one of my best friends. Nick's character and friendship has changed so much about how I view life. I admire his ability to be intentional and relationship-focused, offering empathy and wisdom just at the right time. Nick and I have spent a lot of time sharing our favorite games, 3D art, and videos together. It's one of my favorite things to do with Nick.
Bridesmaid
RUTH! A gem. We met in college through our college ministry and she has been a good friend of mine since. She has such a kind soul and fosters safety so that everyone around her can be 100% authentic. Ruth is a critical thinker and truly seeks to do what pleases Christ. She works in Cleveland and fights for the issues the Lord calls us to fight for. One of my favorite memories with Ruth is when we went on a slow bike ride together in the fall. We talked about whatever came to our minds and enjoyed the sunshine. I feel so blessed to have a friend like Ruth.
Groomsman
Zach is the tallest man I know! Not actually (although he is very tall), but I do look up to him in more ways than one. I originally got to know Zach as we played in our cru worship band for a few years and as housemates. Zach and I share many likes such as 90's music, competitive games, movies, and height. I admire Zach's pursuit of Christ as he is always willing to share the new things that he is learning.
Bridesmaid
Simone is Garrett's sister and my soon-to-be-sister! Simone is also the mother of our ring bearer, Ezra. Simone and I have gotten to know each other and watch each other grow throughout the 5 years that Garrett and I have been together. She's kind and caring and loves to read books and bake. I love her passion for academia and seeing her passions come to fruition through getting her masters, baking for a coffee shop, and even becoming a sourdough expert through the pandemic. I'm so grateful to have Simone beside me to support Garrett and I both.
Groomsman
George! My soon-to-be-brother-in-law. One of my favorite memories with George is hiking out in Red River Gorge and talking around the fire at night. I admire George's ability to work hard and his self-discipline in everything that he does. Don't mess with me cause George got some big muscles.
Bridesmaid
Hannah Elisabeth is a tender hearted friend and sister of mine. She and I have shared so many memories as the middle 2 in our family. Hannah is full of understanding and empathy for others, she feels passion for issues that the Lord calls us to fight for and she cares dearly for her friends. I have so loved watching Hannah grow into the woman that she is becoming. She's getting ready for nursing school this fall and her first semester of official college. Thankful to know and love Hannah's gentle heart.
Groomsman
Jackery. My dude. I love Jack's affinity for laughing and having a good time with others. He is one the most kind and selfless men I know. Big Respect. I see how he acts as a husband and cares for his wife Abi, and it inspires me to do the same as I head into husbandry with Emma.
Bridesmaid
Clay and I get each other. We're sarcastic more than we should be, we compete to share music with the family, we both love gaudy sneakers and baggy pants and we both know how to push each other's buttons. Carley is entering her sophomore year at CVCA this fall and is getting ready to drive (like actually...like on the road). She's growing up just as fast as the rest of us and it's so fun to watch. Carley has strong feelings for others and is a pro at comforting. She's a wiz on the piano and I love to hear her play (unless it's when I'm jammin' out in the kitchen to my own tunes). So thankful for Clay and all that she is.
