Travel Note
Assuming the majority of guests are traveling from the south, there are two routes you can take into Camden/Rockland: the inland route (Route 17) and the coastal route (Route 1). Both routes are beautiful. Bridie likes the coastal route because it defines her childhood and it passes through lots of great sightseeing spots. However, it can get backed up in certain areas (especially on Fridays) so check traffic or just take the inland route. Route 1: From Portland, take I-295 north to exit 28 in Brunswick. Take U.S. Route 1 north for Rockland, Thomaston area. For the Camden-Rockport area, turn left off U.S. Route 1 on Route 90 in Warren. Route 90 meets with U.S. Route 1 again in Rockport, just south of Camden. Route 17: From the Portland area, get on 295 North. Take exit 49 towards Gardiner, Route 201. Pass through Gardiner and Randolph to Route 226, and take that to Route 17 towards Camden.
Flight
Portland, MAINE. Not Oregon--sorry. Portland (PWM) is the best airport for getting to the Camden/Rockland area and exploring a bit of the Maine coast on the way. Bangor, Maine (BGR) is slightly closer, but there are fewer flights and they are more expensive. Boston (BOS) is another option if you're willing do some driving. Flights into Boston will likely be cheapest.
