FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 13th 2023!! If you do not RSVP accordingly we will not have a seat or a plate for you. A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

Question

BYOB?

Answer

Yes, bring your own beverage(s). We will have a limited amount of beers, seltzers, and wines (as well as some mixers, and non-alcoholic beverages) available, but please bring what you’d like to drink! Dust off that cooler in the garage and throw some ice in that bad boy!!

Question

Ceremony is where?

Answer

At Mom and Dad Garrett’s home- be respectful!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’d love to see y’all dressed up (semi-formal/ dressy casual), but it’s mid September, so maybe a jacket. No white, or off-white, please. The venue will be grass and DG, little to no solid surfaces; keep that in mind when selecting your shoes!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love all of your kiddos, we accounted for them in your individual RSVP’s.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your RSVP indicates a plus one- bring that dance partner!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is limited parking on the street (please don’t block the fire hydrant). As well as throughout the neighborhood. There is no formal parking in the neighborhood. Keep this in mind for timing. It may take extra time to park and walk to the house prior to the ceremony- if you arrive after the start time you will not be allowed in until the reception!

Question

What time should I arrive before the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive AT LEAST 15 minutes prior to the official start time (4 pm). It will take a moment to find a parking spot, you might have to set up your cooler, you may want to say hello to others. That being said, if you run late, you will not be able to enter until the reception.

Question

What can I gift the bride and groom?

Answer

While all gifts are given with the thoughtfulness behind them- which we appreciate- we politely request contribution to our honeymoon fund, rather than traditional gifts.

Question

What kind of food is being served?

Answer

We are serving some Hawaiian barbecue options to celebrate the Garrett’s Hawaiian heritage, but dinner will not be served traditionally. Think backyard bbq where you eat when you’re hungry. Food will be available immediately after the ceremony and accessible until the reception ends. We will not be delegating a specific seating arrangement. Tables will be available throughout the evening with no allocated seating chart.
