Jamie is David’s oldest and dearest friend. They started their friendship as young seamen in the Navy in 1996. They’ve been through all of life’s adventures together. Jamie was David’s first skydiving buddy.
Justin Kane

Justin was David’s junior resident and had a way of getting David in trouble all the time. But it was his big heart and generosity on multiple mission trips with us that made him a part of our family. He was there at the bloody proposal and many milestones in our lives. He constantly reminds David that he is out of his league with Anna (very humbling).
Jeff Ettinger
Groomsman
Jeff was the first real friend David made in Chicago and has stood by his side through the roughest times in his life. Jeff is also the one most likely to get David in trouble having fun.
Dana Bruce
Matron of Honor
Dana and Anna met during their first nursing job as operating room nurses. Together they prevented multiple deaths while bonding over their common passions for running, cheese, and terrible choices in men (except our husbands). They had multiple near death experiences including running and training for the Chicago Marathon, flying on planes together, and keeping fake eyelashes from permanently stabbing Anna's eye when they would become unglue.
Amanda "Pilgrim" Calvert
Matron of Honor
Anna met Pilgrim at Illinois Wesleyan, where they both ran track and forever bonded over their hatred of art history. Their favorite activities included skipping class to watch SVU: Special Victims Unit marathons and Pilgrim translating Anna's English.
Lucy Paul

Lucy was Anna's next door neighbor at freshman year college dorm at IWU. They were also roommates during their senior year. Lucy was the first person to explain to Anna that you don't put aluminum foil into the microwave.
Deborah Fredrick

Deborah was Anna's first friend at Rush. Deborah pulled a short straw during her nursing orientation and ended up with Anna as her preceptor during her urology rotation. Despite all of Anna's torturing and the never ending smell of urine, Deborah joined the urology service and together they have been inseparable at work.

Anna was introduced to Bella through her friend Dana. They quickly bonded over their Polishness, nursing, and love of Nordstrom. Bella has been a part of David and Anna's story from the beginnings.
