Absolutely Stunning. Our favorite local hike. 4 separate waterfall environments in a 1.5 mile total out-and-back trail. Easy hike with many well maintained staircases. Visit web link for directions to get there.
Exceptional swim spot. Easiest place to access the Chattooga River, less than a quarter mile to the water. Mostly paved trail splits halfway down. To the left you will arrive at Bull Sluice beach, which is a great sandy slow moving water spot for young children. If you go right where the trail forks you will arrive at Bull Sluice rapid, one of the most fun on the river. Watch boaters and rock hop your way to swimming just below the rapid.
This place is a community treasure! A must see. We had our first date at the Belle Farm and frequently watch the sunsets here with our friends. We encourage everyone to take at least 15 minutes and pull into the Belle Farm to admire the gorgeous long range views and scenery of their orchards. The Belle Farm owners welcome folks to free range self tour the property. If you visit during the day when their farm stand store and cafe are open you can purchase fruits, jams, treats, sandwiches, wine and beer. They also have u-pick.
artisanal and delicious herbal cocktails. good witch vibes.
Great place to access the river, popular put in and take out spot for boaters. A quarter-mile long trail that is wide and well maintained leads you to the water where you will find a beachy lagoon that is great for swimming with small children. Excellent rock hopping and views of Woodall Shoals rapid (do not swim in the rapid). From Highway 76 turn onto Orchard Road, the right onto Woodall Shoals Road. This road dead ends at the parking area. The main trail is located near the bulletin board kiosk.

Fun and interactive time capsule of a place. Immersive outdoor museum that brings Appalachian history to life. Visitors can explore historic cabins, a working blacksmith shop, and dozens of structures and artifacts that reflect daily life in the mountains from the 1820s to the 1940s.
