Flight
This is the nearest airport North of the border to fly into. Los Angeles Airport is an option if you are considering spending time in the area, however, flying into San Diego will save a 3 hour drive.
Rental Car
Whether you are in need of a rental car because you are coming in from out of state or you prefer to drive a rental car instead of your own vehicle to Ensenada, Enterprise allows you to drive their rental cars into Mexico with the proper additional insurance.
Flight
Tijuana International Airport is approximately a 1.5 hour drive away from Ensenada but is the nearest airport South of the border. El aeropuerto internacional de Tijuana está aproximadamente a una hora y media en auto de Ensenada, pero es el aeropuerto más cercano de lado Mexicano.
Rental Car
If you arrive to Tijuana International Airport, you can use Enterprise (or any other car rental company) to rent a car to drive to Ensenada. Located only 10 minutes from the wedding venue this is a great option for anyone who plans to enjoy the resort amenities and prefers a quieter stay away from downtown. The hotel also offers shuttle service to and from the San Diego area or private transport directly from your home as an added expense. For additional information, please refer to the shuttle information section. We have set up a hotel block that is valid till March 24, 2019 but the rooms will start releasing from the block January 24, 2019. The standard rooms rates are $218 usd per night and the junior suites are $228 usd per night, under our block. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. It also has secure garage parking and offers affordable room service for a quick breakfast. The Lucerna hotel in Ensenada is priced between Hotel Coral y Marina and Hotel Cortez, but we do not have a block there. Itʼs supposed to be resort style (similar to Coral and Marina) and is brand new, right next to Coral and Marina. When Iʼve checked, it seems to be close to about $185/ night.

Private van (up to 10 passengers): Best for big groups and is about $260 total (not per person) each way from San Diego. It is about $400 total per way (not per person) from Orange County. Also available from LA County. Once you give them the exact pick up address, the price will be more accurate, but this gives an idea. If your group is smaller, there is also private sedan options for 1-3 passengers. The sedan will pick you up from the address of your choice. Prices from San Diego are about $150 total and from Orange County are estimated $200 total, per way. You do not have to be a Coral and Marina hotel guest to use this service, and they will drop you off at other hotels or Airbnbʼs. This private service is different than the Hotel Coral and Marina shuttle that leaves from the San Diego west marine on Friday at 230 pm with return Monday around 1pm. The private service is more customizable for pick up and drop off time. Budget 2.5 hours from border to Ensenada in case of traffic.

House Or Rental
AirBnb is an excellent option for anyone traveling in a group or even as a couple. There are many affordable rental options in the area that are safe and convenient. Keep in mind, since Ensenada is a beach city, air conditioning is not a common feature in most rental houses. Taxis are available from any of the recommended hotels and Uber is also available in Ensenada. We recommend taking advantage of these cheap means of transportation so that you may take advantage of the open bar at our reception. A taxi stand is also located directly in front of the venue for your convenience at the end of the night. Although we encourage everyone to take a taxi or Uber, we understand some may prefer to drive to the venue. Parking at the venue is available but may be limited by the nearby market that operates on the weekends. Please park in spaces designated for Santo Tomas visitors. Driving in Mexico can be a challenging experience when compared to driving in the United States. Tips for driving to Ensenada: Cross via San Ysidro, merge over to the right before crossing into Mexico as it will make it easier when you cross and follow signs for Playas de Tijuana/Rosarito/Ensenada. Google Maps is an excellent option for navigation whether using the offline maps or by using your cellular data. Bring cash-pesos or dollars for the tolls. Please consult with your individual insurance carriers to inquire about car insurance coverage while driving your vehicle in Mexico. Follow the link for information on acquiring Mexican Auto Insurance Coverage for your vehicle in the event your carrier does not cover your vehicle or for added peace of mind. Purchase at least 24 hours before your departure.
Travel Note
Depending on your length of stay, you may want to consider having pesos for your trip. Pesos can be ordered ahead of time at most local banks but can also be safely withdrawn at ATMs in Mexico. Dollars are also accepted at almost all locations, however, exchange rates may not be as favorable. Credit cards are also acceptable payment options at hotels and restaurants.

We encourage our guests to have some form of cell phone coverage while in Mexico for navigation purposes, communication and for use of Uber the day of the ceremony.
