**Sweet Beginnings** Our connection began online in April 2023, feeling like a divinely guided meeting that blossomed into something profoundly meaningful. From the beginning, we both valued honesty and intentionality—we weren't in a rush, but we were clear that our goal was a long-term relationship leading to marriage. We spent a lot of time together, creating unforgettable memories. As the months passed, it became clear to both of us that this was the relationship we had always hoped for. As a part of our one-year dating anniversary celebration, we decided to look at engagement rings. Julia: Of course, I knew the engagement was coming eventually—so I kindly asked Shawn to make sure my nails were done beforehand, LOL.
