Something cute and comfy! It's summer camp. So there'll be dirt & grass & outside. Wear some khakis and a button down or maybe a dress with sandals.

How do we get to Camp Allen?

Answer

From Houston • Take U.S. Highway 290 (Northwest Freeway) West toward Austin. • Exit at FM 362. • Turn right onto FM 362 at Buc-ee’s and go 6 miles to the “T” intersection at FM 1488. • Turn right onto FM 1488 and go 3 miles to Field Store Community. • Turn left at the Camp Allen Sign back onto FM 362 and go 6.2 miles to the Camp Allen main entrance (on the left). • From Downtown: approximately 1.5 hours

Where do we go when we get inside Camp Allen?

• Turn into the Camp Allen entrance • Keep left at the Conference Center to remain on the main road • Keep driving through the gate past the security booth—no need to stop. • Drive about 1 mile, past Campsites 1 & 2, past Ralph Hughes Park, the pavilion, and the pool. • The big pretty cross by the big pretty lake—that’s Campsite 3—where we met! • The entrance is to the right, but keep reading for info about parking!

Where do we park?

Answer

Preferred parking is along the main road toward the entrance to Campsite 3. If you need to drop someone off, proceed all the way to Campsite 3 and enter on the gravel road to the right. Drop off at the building you see to the right at the fork. There are limited parking spots close to the buildings on either side at the fork, so please try to leave those for folks who require them. If you’re feeling super into campy scenic routes, please park at Ralph Hughes Park and walk down toward the lake. There is a bridge over the water to the left that leads down toward the outdoor chapel. All that to say—welcome to camp life!
