Tonya, aka 'T,' has been my confidante, my study buddy, and travel partner for the last 10 years! We met early in our first year of undergrad at Case Western and we've been inseparable since (hence our duo nickname 'TRu'). We are blessed to be able to attend the same medical school as well! Her encouragement has been the heartbeat of my resilience, and her belief in my potential has propelled me through some of the toughest moments. Her friendship is a treasure, and having her as my Maid of Honor is a dream come true! I'm grateful to have such a God-fearing, kind, and patient best friend. Without Tonya, I wouldn't be where I am today. Her unwavering support and refusal to let me give up on myself have been instrumental. She's practically family in the Anunike household and we are so grateful!

Aside from my family, Haley is the only person that I can say that I've not only known, but been best friends with for over 20 years (fun fact, our brothers are best friends also!). Through thick and thin, she's one person that I know will always have my back. She is so strong, and I am SO proud of the person she has become. I've known Coley since high school. We traveled the U.S. together playing club volleyball and even played on a beach volleyball team one year. My most cherished memory with B is the summer we spent studying for our respective entrance exams (she's in dental school!). From the first moment we met, her dedication to her faith has been a guiding light, inspiring me to explore and deepen my own relationship with the Lord. She continually checks in on me and my studies and makes it a priority to schedule a catch-up date every month. Princess and I met at Case Western, we were the same year in school but she studied biomedical engineering. I've always admired her drive, intellect, and ability to prioritize a healthy work-life balance. Princess and I spent a lot of time planning events for our African Student Association, and explored the city of Cleveland together throughout our four years living there. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding last year, and so enjoyed the opportunity to shower her with love and witness the union of her and her husband Folu. I admire their relationship so much, and am hoping to do a couples trip in the near future!

Not only is she one of the most intelligent humans I know (I love having her as a study buddy!), but she has such a spirit of encouragement within her and is always there to speak life into me whenever I need it. Jordan ‘Doore’ Anunike, is Obi’s wife and my newest sister-in-law! Obi and Jordan got married in July of 2023 and it has been an absolute JOY getting to know Jordan. She’s gentle, she’s kind, she’s SO patient, and so present when you’re with her. I admire her love for the Lord and fervent pursuit of Him. She strives to be a Psalm 31 woman in all her ways. She has been a blessing to our family and I truly couldn’t have asked for a more incredible sister-in-law. She recently accepted a position at Emory University as a Track & Field Assistant Coach and I can’t think of anyone more deserving. I’m grateful for her light in my life and I’m excited to continue doing life together!
