Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We are asking that all our guests wear cocktail attire.

Question

Is the wedding ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! We wanted to keep everything simple for our guests in terms of location. Everything for the wedding day will be at The Union.

Question

When should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 5:00pm, however, we are opening the bar at 4:30pm so our guests can have a pre-ceremony cocktail and find their seats.

Where is The Union in relation to the Hampton Inn and Suites?

Answer

They are very close! The Union is at 17th Street and Baltimore Avenue, and the Hampton Inn is at 16th Street and Main Street. Google Maps show the distance being 0.2 miles, or a 5 minute walk.

Where do I park at the venue?

Answer

The Union does not have dedicated parking. There is a parking garage very close to the venue at Baltimore Avenue and Wyandotte Street. We've been told that the parking garage is technically a paid garage, but they often just leave the lifts up for people to go in and out as they want. But we still suggest bringing a few dollars to pay for parking just in case.

Is there alternate transportation?

Answer

Yes! At the Hampton Inn and Suites, the KC street car runs in front of the hotel, so you are able to access the street car at no cost, call an Uber or Lyft, or take a Bird scooter.

Question

Where can I get my morning coffee?

Answer

Don't worry, there is a Starbucks in the lobby of the hotel! The hotel also offers a complimentary extended breakfast.
