FAQs

Question

How do I book my hotel room?

Answer

We are booking with Barefoot Bridal. Please visit our booking website. Sharon, our destination wedding specialist and her team will be helping with all things travel, room blocks, and airport transfers. If you have any questions regarding booking/travel, all of her contact information is listed on the site! http://www.barefootbridal.com/destinyjoshua

Question

Do I have to pay in full to book?

Answer

No! You can secure your room with a $100 deposit. This simply holds your spot within our room block. The room block will close May, 23, 2026! The best part is that the full payment isn't due until June 2027, but locking in your room now ensures you get the price and room option you prefer. Rooms will go quickly, so we recommend booking sooner rather than later if you have something specific in mind.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. Please also make sure your booking information clearly matches your passport details!

Question

Who needs to be listed on the room reservation?

Answer

Everyone staying in the room must be listed, including infants (even if they are not charged).

Question

Do my names have to match exactly on my passport and booking information?

Answer

Yes. The first and last name on your flight and hotel reservation must match your passport exactly. Using a nickname or middle name instead of your legal name can delay check-in.

Question

Where is the resort located?

Answer

Punta Mita, Nayarit! We will fly into PVR (Puerto Vallarta) international airport, but the actual location of the resort is in Punta Mita, which is about 45-50 minutes from PVR.

Question

Can I Request a Plus-One?

Answer

We wish we could invite everyone (truly!), but we're keeping our guest list cozy and carefully planned. We appreciate you understanding that we're only able to accommodate the names listed on each invitation or RSVP.

Question

Is there a tourist fee?

Answer

Beginning in 2026, Puerto Vallarta may introduce a once-annual fee for foreign visitors of about 160 Mexican Pesos (~$7 - ~$9 USD). Details are still being finalized after earlier plans were overturned, so updates will be shared if confirmed.
