Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home
Robert Lincoln, son of Abraham Lincoln, built Hildene as a summer home at the turn of the 20th century. Now, the 412 acre estate includes its Georgian revival mansion, a formal garden and observatory, a 1903 Pullman car, a solar powered goat dairy and cheese-making facility, and a museum store.

Dorset Quarry
Dive in to the nation's oldest marble quarry! See if you have the guts to jump off the highest cliff. This is one of Grace and Jeff's favorite activities in the area.
Dorset Farmers Market
The Galloways visit the Dorset Farmers Market almost every Sunday when we are in Vermont! This outdoor market is open Sundays from 10am-2pm and offers fresh produce, locally made cheeses, soaps and gifts, and lunch items.
Manchester Outlet Shopping
Manchester is a walkable town with numerous shops and restaurants. If you don't love the outdoors, we highly recommend this outlet shopper's paradise!
Bromley Mountain
Bromley Mountain is a ski resort that offers many family-friendly summer activities, including an alpine slide, mini golf, a ropes course, ziplining, and disc golf. Bromley Mountain is a 15 minute drive from Dorset.
Southern Vermont Arts Center
The Southern Vermont Arts Center is a multi-disciplinary arts organization with rotating exhibits by local artists. It is situated on a beautiful 100-acre property at the foot of the Taconic Mountains.

Enroll in a one or two day fly fishing course, or just visit the Orvis Flagship Store in Manchester, VT!

Southern Vermont hosts some of the country's most scenic golf courses. Check out The Golf Club at Equinox, Manchester Country Club, Ekwanok Country Club, and Lake Saint Catherine Country Club.
