Jeff and Grace met at the beginning of freshman year while living on Bay State Road in Boston (which would later become the place where Jeff proposed on the coldest day of the year!). Although they were just friends for a while, they both finally realized what a great pair they could make when they were no less than 4,000 miles apart (distance makes the heart grow fonder, right?). When Grace was studying abroad in Venice, Italy, Jeff was pretty much the only person who read her travel blog, besides her mom. The two would spend hours each day texting (whenever Grace could find WiFi) and video calling over Skype (usually while Jeff was in class -- somehow he still managed to get a near-perfect grade in Electric Circuit Theory). After Grace returned from her international adventure, Jeff literally and figuratively swooped her off of her feet when he drove from Connecticut to pick her up at Boston Logan Airport. In the 8 years since, the two fell in love, graduated from college, pursued careers, moved in together, and cultivated strong bonds with each other's families. They created long-standing traditions like hosting an annual Friendsgiving event and taking a yearly pilgrimage to Parlee Farms to pick dahlias. And they shared once-in-a-lifetime experiences like hot air ballooning over the Dordogne region in France and scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef. Vermont has always been Grace and Jeff's refuge from the city, their way to escape from reality, and their happy place. It felt natural to host their wedding weekend in the breath-taking Green Mountain State. Jeff and Grace couldn't be happier to have their closest friends and family join them as they say "I do" next summer. We look forward to seeing you in Vermont!
