Please RSVP by May 12, 2019 :-) p.s. If you do not RSVP by May 12th, please bring a chair and a sandwich.
There are 2 options & both are beautiful! GPS is helpful but here is a bit more info just in case! Option 1: From Denver, take I-70 West to US-40 (Exit 232) towards Empire/Granby. You'll pass thru the little town of Empire & then up to the summit of Berthoud Pass. Once over Berthoud, you'll descend into Winter Park. Continue on US-40 to the small town of Granby. Just past the main part of town you'll turn right on to US-34 which will take you right in to Grand Lake. Option 2 - the scenic route: From Denver/DIA, navigate to I-25 north. Follow signs for US-36 West which will take you thru Boulder. Follow US-36 to Lyons; turn left to stay on US-36. Follow signs to Estes Park & enjoy the scenery along the way. There's a lot to see & do in Estes so if you go this way, plan for some extra time! Follow signs to Rocky Mountain National Park (there is a fee to drive thru) & use the historic Trail Ridge Road to get to Grand Lake. Keep an eye out for the welcoming comittee of elk & moose!
In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!
Our attire is “Mountain formal” - dress to impress, but also dress for the elements (sun, cooler evening temps and possible windy conditions). Anything you’d wear to a nice restaurant on a summer day is appropriate. Wear low or flat shoes as our ceremony and reception are outdoors and in the mountains. Also, bring a warmer layer to wear once the sun goes down. The sun is nice and warm during the day but it can be quite chilly in the mountains in the evening!
While we have registered for a few things (viewable on this site), we really already have more than we need. To us, your presence is most important and the most valuable gift we could receive.
On the Travel and Lodging page you'll see a variety of places to stay. The Grand Lake Lodge has set aside rooms for our wedding (you must call or email - check that page) but there are many other options!
