Fun & Games in the Park

Winter has hung on for quite some time in Colorado this year so we are switching from a beach day to a park day. It’s looking like upper 60s with a chance for afternoon storms. Dress in light layers!
**DUE TO THE COOLER TEMPS & COLD WATER FORECAST THIS EVENT IS NOW FUN & GAMES IN THE PARK. There is public parking near the park (1117 Lake Ave) or you can park wherever you can find a spot. We will claim a spot in the park and set up cornhole, Giant Jenga, lawn Yahtzee & more! This is a casual come-and-go, BYOE(verything) event. While we’re switching to game in the park, the beach is right across the street. So if you’re feeling brave, you can still check out the lake! Warning, it’s going to be VERY cold! If you're interested in seeing and learning more about Grand Lake, check out Headwaters Marina (walking distance from the beach we will be at). They offer a boat tour ($20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under) that is excellent for learning about the history of Grand Lake, what life is like living in Grand Lake and gives you views of the whole lake. Tours run at 10:30, noon and 2:00 p.m. and do fill up fast so book early!

The attire is mountain formal - dress to impress, but also dress for the elements (sun, cooler evening temps, possible windy conditions). Anything you’d wear to a nice restaurant on a summer day is appropriate.. Ladies - our venue is the perfect excuse NOT to wear your uncomfortable heels!
Although it will be toward the end of June, Colorado is infamous for warm days and cool nights all summer long - especially in the mountains. Our ceremony will be outside and on a hillside. It is a bit of a walk to the ceremony site and the reception (transportation will be available for those who want/need it). Flat or low footwear is recommended (plus you’ll be able to save your feet for dancing!)
