We’re so excited to welcome you to our favorite place-LAKE TAHOE! For those of you who have never been, traveling here is a bit unique, so please read throughly and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. We’ve listed helpful resources, discounts and travel tips below. Lake Tahoe is about 72 miles around, sits along a scenic two-lane highway and is one of the deepest freshwater lakes in North America. The lake is split between California and Nevada state lines. Our venue is on the north west shore in Carnelian Bay, CA. Ride share and Public transit are very limited and unreliable in the basin. To ensure your travel is smooth and timely, we strongly recommend renting a car for your stay. Having a vehicle will make it much easier to get to/from the airport, explore the area, and travel to/from wedding events around the lake. During peak summer season hotels and rentals will sell out. We encourage guests to book accommodations at their earliest convenience.

Flight

Reno Tahoe Airport

This is the closest airport offering many straight through flights. It is approximately a one hour drive from the airport into the Lake Tahoe basin. I highly recommend picking up essentials, gas, groceries, and whatever you may need for your stay while in Reno as the local Tahoe stores have less selection and higher costs.
