On July 15th, 2023 Sam and Sara spent the day at Sara's favorite place, her family's beach house in Scituate, MA. This place has always been special to Sara as it's been in her family for generations. Sara and Sam spend multiple weekends each year taking in this gorgeous New England beach town. Sara and Sam spent the 90 degree day at Minot Beach with family and friends, and of course their dog Leo. In order to beat the summer rush, Sam had convinced Sara to be ready for an early dinner. She did wonder why Sam was wearing long pants and a button-down over his usual shorts and golf polo/hat combo. Just before the dinner reservation, Sam convinced Sara to take Leo for a "walk" at the private beach just down the road with her mom, Kathy, and sister, Rachel. With ring in tow, hidden in plain sight, they walked Leo down by the crashing waves, and Sam got down on one knee. Sara's immediate response " I Knew It!!". Getting a surprise by Sara is no easy feat. Following a photo session, Sam surprised Sara with a dinner in town with close friends and family. He even included grandparents from both sides traveling as far as Florida to be there for the special occasion. The evening was full of champagne and seafood - a perfect start to the next chapter to come!
