Dine in at what's considered to be the "Last Local Beach Club" in Panama City Beach. Schooners provides amazing "Gulf Beach-Bar" style food right on the beach. Opened in the late 60's as "Beach Party", it was sold in 1985 after being severely damaged in a hurricane. The new owner rebranded & rebuilt as Schooners and have continued the legacy to this day. Try some of their frozen drinks or a large order of locally sourced Gulf shrimp! Schooners also owns a small section of the beach which allows for outdoor seating on the white sand! Drinks are allowed on the beach so hop in and getcha a frozen colada to go!
WE HAVE YET TO DO THIS DUE TO COVID... Take a hop on the Sea Screamer and check out Lower Grand Lagoon & Central PCB from a powerboat! The Sea Screamer has amazing reviews and looks like an absolute blast. The boat even has a mini cannon mounted to the front made to set off in front of some of the resort hot spots! Watch the Sea Screamer go by from your balcony throughout the day and see dolphins jumping out of the water following its wake. The Sea Screamer is also available for nightly sunset cruises. Nothing beats a Gulf of Mexico sunset!
Looking to get a little wild and crazy? Ms Newbys has you covered. Newbys has all well-drinks and local beer on tap. The venue hosts a biker vibe and has an outdoor area with bar and billiards. Most times after dark Newbys will also be rocking some karaoke outside! They also have a liquor store on the first floor just in case you decide you need a jug of tequila to go!
Are you looking for a cool location with good live music and even greater food? Check out Patches Pub in Lower Grand Lagoon for all of this and more. This local hole-in-the-wall is a great place to have a beer and catch some football for those days when the beach hits you a little too hard. Patches boasts a good biker bar vibe and is not directly on the beach.
