Hurricane Ian

9/28/22 (Possibly last update)

Did someone say Hurricane Party? **Please do not get your info from the weather channel.. Come here as I have info from local sources** Welp. We got lucky here. The hurricane is expected to impact 0% of the panhandle. The route of the storm also looks like it should not impact flights too. We are full go!!! We currently are not even expected a drop of rain here in PCB, but it may be a little gusty. One thing to note is the storm is pulling all the heat to the south so it is unseasonably cold in the mornings here. About 61... (Artic Tundra temps...) However, the days are in the low 80's and sunny so it makes for a great feeling day! Again, at this time everything is on and our area is NOT even in a tropical storm warning. Excited to see y'all! Love, Gage & Shanners

How We Met

8/30/2014

Gage & Shannon met on a weekend of a St. Louis Cardinals home-game. Shannon’s sister, Katie, had extra tickets to the game and being close friends with Gage, she invited him along to hang with the family. Little did Gage know this was all part of a “secret-sister-plan” to introduce the future couple. The weekend went well, and the bright and silly personalities of Gage & Shannon were a perfect match! Gage & Shannon stayed connected throughout college going to visit each other at least every other weekend as their colleges were about 2 hours apart. Shannon often came to Missouri S&T as everyone in the S&T mining department and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity fell in love with her instantly. After graduation, Gage moved to the Palmetto State of South Carolina to pursue a career in the gold mining industry. Shannon still had 4 months of schooling left to finish, but immediately after graduation she loaded up and flew south. On 12/4/2017 Gage and Shannon bought a beautiful home (with a pool… don’t forget the pool!) in Lugoff, SC. In October of 2021 Gage & Shannon sold their house in South Carolina and bought a home in Panama City Beach FL! Gage & Shannon now spend their weekends on the beach and enjoying the life they worked hard to build.

The Proposal

10/14/2020

Its no secret to anyone that Gage & Shannon love vacations. The Florida Panhandle is a spot the couple is often found and someday hope to call it their home. Panama City Beach has an annual Lobster Fest in mid-October every year and it made the schedule for vacation in 2020! Gage picked the most beautiful day of the week to rent a boat and take Shannon to an island just off Panama City Beach called “Shell Island”. Shell Island is an un-inhabited island that has been left all natural by the beautiful state of FL. While walking along the bright white sand and crystal-clear water Gage told Shannon, “Shanners, I love you so much and wanted to wait until it was just you and me on an island to ask you this”. Gage got down on one knee and proposed to her! Shannon said YES! and all the dolphins in the sea rose to the surface and slapped their fins together in approval! (OK, maybe that last part didn’t happen… But she said YES!!)
