Spread Love, It's the Brooklyn Way

Knowing Elisa loves to read, her friend Caitlin asked her to be the copyeditor for an online journal. Outcryer invited artists of all walks (photographers, designers, writers, etc.) to present their work to a broader audience. While copyediting in a Starbucks one afternoon, Elisa read Seamus's story. His bio caught her eye as well, his tagline read: my favorite nights include a good drink and good company. At the Outcryer launch party a little while later, they met. It was held in a bar on the Lower East Side called Home Sweet Home, and despite the din, they managed to connect and fell into a long conversation. When other plans beckoned, Seamus summoned the courage to ask for Elisa's number. On August 11 they had their first date at the New Orleans-themed restaurant, Ninth Ward. They discovered a shared love of voracious reading, clever puns, and women-fronted 90s alternative music. And after that came all the rest! In 2021, along with our cat Beatrice, we acquired our own small slice of the Big Apple. We were very lucky and proud to have our apartment search featured in the New York Times!
