As we get closer to starting a new story in our life, we reflect on the story that is coming to a close. Our relationship started pretty much like any other high school couple. After texting back and forth with each other on Facebook and Instagram we finally decided to meet up. Which is where this adventure starts! It was a rather cool November afternoon, November 25th to be exact, that we decided to meet up in person for the first time! The Brown-Foreman Silo Center within Turkey Run, will always hold a special place in our hearts. We both still remember that day like it was yesterday. That first week that we started talking to each other in person was a crazy one! Usually you wait a little bit to meet your girlfriend/boyfriend's parents. Well, this wasn't the case for us! Ryan got to meet Emily's mom Trisha that afternoon, and to this day he can still remember what she said to him..."Hi! I'm Trisha, nice to meet you! I'm just going to sit in the car, it's too cold out here for me." After a few short hours he also got to meet her dad, Mark, while they were at a friend's house watching the UofL vs UK football game, definitely a great first impression! Only just a weeks later Emily got to meet Ryan's whole family at his birthday party! That was also a crazy night and definitely one that neither one of us will forget! From Emily being interrogated by Bobby, Jacob and Jalynn to both of us sitting nervously on the couch while it seemed everyone was watching us. Only a few days later we started dating officially, on December 5th, 2017 @ 7:21 PM, ever since that night our love for each other has never been stronger. We have both seen each other in our highest of highs and our lowest of lows, but the love that we had for each other through it all always stayed strong. We have both done a lot of things together over the last seven and a half years, each year we are increasing our chapters more and more as a couple. From all the vacations, family dinners, date nights, you name it, we have had great memories that we will cherish for a lifetime and then to our most recent chapters we have been able to write. Graduating nursing school and starting our careers as nurses in the cardiac ICU to building our first house together and even getting our first pets together, plus the thing that brought us all here, the engagement! After 2,404 days it was finally time to advance our relationship even more. July 5th, 2024 was a day to remember for sure! Ryan had it all planned out to have "family photos" done by a professional photographer on the cruise, only a handful of people in our party knew what was happening but, the moment was so magical and now the real fun begins, planning a wedding! We are super excited to be closing one story in our life but, soon we will be starting a new one. We can't wait to celebrate this day with every single one of you and we look forward to seeing what this new story has in store for us! Love, The future Mr. & Mrs. Gaddie
