Matron of Honor
Mel and I became fast friends in college through soccer. She was always so welcoming and outgoing, and it was hard not to have a good time when she was around. We soon became best friends and then roommates. After graduating, when we both found our way to GR, we stayed as close as can be. We have been by each other's sides through some big life moments, and Mel supports and encourages me in everything I have done and continue to do. She is thoughtful and personable, and is the perfect example of what a good friend should be.
Maid of Honor
Bri and I became close friends when rooming together at Alma. We got even closer when she let me stay on her couch when I first started my job in GR and couldn't move into my apartment for another month. Since then, we have remained close through our love of staying active and trying new things. Bri has encouraged me do things I never would have done on my own like signing up for a triathlon or climbing Angels Landing in Zion. She provides thoughtful perspective in my life and is great at organizing and making plans. She always ensures that her friends feel appreciated and exudes positive energy.
Bridesmaid
Whitnee is also a great friend that came out of Alma College soccer. Though we probably owe some of our closeness to our other halves who have been close friends since childhood, we know that we were always destined to form our own friendship. We bonded over various summer activities like corn-hole, flip cup, and beer ball- and through Whitnee always ensuring that I remember to have a good time. She offers a listening ear when I need one and has met me with compassion and understanding through hard times. Whitnee is a fun-loving, reliable, and supportive friend.
Bridesmaid
Growing up, Angela was forced to be my friend, as she's my cousin that is closest in age to me. We often did crafts together at family celebrations and loved to make music videos, dancing and lip syncing to songs like "Jesus Take the Wheel" and "Big Girls Don't Cry" with our cousin Anna. I still have a copy of these on CD that we might have to break out at the wedding. As we grew older, Angela became someone that was easy to look up to; she is dedicated and hard-working. She is always smiling and is a genuine, caring friend. Having no sisters of my own, I am thankful to have always had a stand-in sister in my life.
Bridesmaid
Kelsey has been my best friend since middle school. Kelsey and I were always involved in something growing up- volunteering, school clubs, club and school soccer, running for class VP and President together. There wasn’t much that we did on our own back then. We visited each other in college whenever we could and have stayed close despite being a few hours apart. Over the years, Kelsey has kept me up to pace with the trends in pop-culture, fashion, and makeup. She is driven, witty, and loyal. Kelsey has always pushed me to be the best version of myself and makes it easy to be proud to have a friend like her.
Bridesmaid
Maddie was my very first best friend. We formed our bond at the hockey rink, since our families were always there supporting our brothers. We used to play with stuffed animals under the bleachers and beg our parents for money to get snacks at the concession stand. In high school, Maddie helped make everything more fun and was there for me through some tough times. Now Maddie is arguably the glue that holds our high-school-friend-group together. She is always coordinating and making fun plans in order to ensure we are able to see each other at least a few times a year. She is such a caring, thoughtful friend, who always makes sure everyone around her is laughing and having a great time.
Groomsman
Tyler is my older brother. We were always close, but our relationship grew while I was in college. After college I spent a few years living with Tyler. We bonded through disc golf and taking care of his dogs. Tyler has always been supportive, caring, and a keystone in my life.
Groomsmen
These 5 guys and I became friends throughout school at Spring Lake. Over the years, our friendship continued to grow as we found ourselves hanging out almost every single weekend. A few of us went to college together, while we made sure to make time to visit those at other schools. I have always valued our friendship and consider it special. I know that I can count on each and every one of them and think of them as my family.
