Since we are staying at and having our reception at a Golf Resort, it had to be our first recommendation of things to do. There are two 18-hole championship courses on site, Dinosaur Mountain and Side Winder. If you want to golf, have at it. If you want to know when everyone else is Golfing, Text Taylor. Hotel guests are given a discounted pricing on tee times, you can make reservations up to 3 months in advance. * They do have Golf clubs to rent
This place is neat, and cute. There's an old saloon functioning where you can grab a drink, a bunch of little shops and a beautiful view of the Superstition Mountains. * If you are planning to go here it is across from Lost Dutchman State Park and on the way to Tortilla flats if you want to check those out too on your day adventures!
BBQ joint, pretty good. Indoor/outdoor, bar fire pits and killer views. We sat around the back patio fire and played UNO. Very lowkey and large outdoor area
We are a bit bias, because this is where our ceremony is but we love it. If you are a hiker check it out. We will be in the state park for our ceremony so either way you won't miss it.
This is a nice scenic drive, it is curvy and lacking rest stops on the way! But it sure is BEAUTIFUL. It is a 41 minute drive from the Gold Canyon Golf Resort but in our opinion worth the drive. You'll arrive in a the smallest tourist town with a general store, a little shop, and a restaurant with saddle barstools at the bar. The food is mediocre but a neat little experience and a fun drive. However, once you get to the town you should turn around and come back! If you keep going it turns into dirt road cliffs (actual cliffs) that are tough to get through without 4 wheel drive (Yes, we kept going. Yes, it is stroke inducing. We don't recommend) (You can also stop at the Goldfield Mining town before you head to Tortilla flats as it's on the way!) If you go here make sure that thing got that gas in it, it's a desert.
