Question

TAXI INFO: Does Uber exist in Italy? How to call taxis?

Answer

Yes, Uber does exist in Italy; however, we strongly suggest comparing Uber prices to taxi prices because Uber tends to charge double. We recommend asking your hotel receptionist to call you a taxi instead of taking an Uber. Taxi's in Italy are different than in New York. You can't hail a taxi, instead you must schedule a taxi in advance with your hotel or on an app. You can download AppTaxi. You can also use this number on What's App to call taxis +39 333 807 7555 or +39 334 662 2550 As far as tipping, you can round up to the nearest euro.

Question

What is the weather in Italy during July?

Answer

Italy can get hot during the summer. In July, daytime highs can reach 88-90°F degrees and overnight lows can drop to 65°F degrees. Pack light clothing and wear sunscreen! Luckily the hotel and villas listed on the website have air conditioning. Unfortunately, the place we will be getting married at does not have AC since it is the countryside. Packing a pocket electric fan would be ideal! You can find them on Amazon!

Question

What Should We Prepare Before Going to Italy?

Answer

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/MLT4UVNYQTA8?ref_=wl_share All items can be found on Amazon. Please copy and paste the Amazon link to see "Italy Travel Essentials." REMEMBER: 1. Different parts of Europe have different outlets. It is important to bring outlet adapters. The Italy outlet adapter is linked on Amazon, but if you are traveling to different parts of Europe make sure you research other adapters needed. 2. There is so much to see in Italy and you do not want your phone dying when you are out and exploring. This is why it is important to have a portable charger. 3. If you want a quick way to iron your clothes, it will be important to bring a portable steamer. 4. Make sure your hair tools are compatible with Italy's voltage of 220 V. 5. There are water fountains all over Europe where people will fill up water bottles. Purchasing a foldable water bottle is a good idea to travel with! 6. An eye mask is great to have on a long flight. 7. Hand held fans are a MUST for the Italy heat. 8. Highly recommend purchasing a satchel or a fanny pack for women and men! Keep all of your items in the front of your body to avoid losing or someone stealing your items.

Question

When Should We Plan to Arrive?

Answer

The wedding is scheduled on a Thursday. Our hope is that guests are able to arrive as early as possible to minimize jet lag during the wedding. We recommend taking a flight Sunday night that arrives in Italy on Monday at the latest. This will provide enough time to get situated, acclimate to the time zone, explore the city, and prepare for the festivities ahead!

Question

WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK OUR TRAVEL?

Answer

We recommend booking your hotels as soon as possible. We recommend booking flights approximately 9 months in advance to get the best deals! You can also track flights to see when the prices are cheapest! July is peak season in Italy and both flights and hotel prices will increase the closer to the date that you book.
