Accommodations

Answer

We’ve reserved a block of rooms at Hotel Ullensvang, which is also where all of our wedding festivities will take place. This is the only hotel we’ve arranged a group rate for, and we recommend it as the easiest and most convenient option for our guests. The link to book, along with our group code, is provided under the “Travel” tab. If you’re planning to travel before or after the wedding, feel free to explore Norway or neighboring countries at your own pace. Any additional travel or accommodations outside of the wedding dates will be up to each guest to arrange.

Transportation

Answer

The most convenient airport to fly into is Bergen Airport (BGO). There is no specific flight you need to book as our guests are traveling from various parts of the world and Norway, so please choose flights that work best for your schedule. We will provide an optional transportation to the hotel on Thursday, June 18th for those who need transportation (times TBD). The hotel is approximately a three hour drive from the airport. If you plan to rent a car or drive, the hotel has a parking garage located directly beneath the building, available for guest use. If you have any questions or need assistance coordinating travel, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Dress Code/Weather

Answer

We kindly ask guests to dress in formal attire (that you are most comfortable in) to help us celebrate in style. Think suits and ties, evening gowns, elegant cocktail dresses, and traditional bunads. Our wedding takes place at the beginning of Norway’s summer, when temperatures typically range from 50–70°F (10–21°C). While the weather is usually pleasant, there is a mild chance of rain—so we recommend bringing a light jacket or umbrella, just in case. Please note that both the Welcome Dinner and the Ceremony will take place on grass, so we encourage you to choose footwear that will keep you comfortable on uneven or soft ground.

Are photos allowed during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony. We want everyone to be fully present with us in the moment. We have arranged for a professional photographer to capture everything beautifully, and we would be happy to share those memories with you after the wedding. Thank you for understanding and for helping us create a truly meaningful atmosphere.

Your love and support mean the world to us. We are incredibly thankful simply to have you join us in celebrating our marriage and do not expect any additional gift. However, if you still wish to do so, we've curated a small registry of items that would help us as we start our life together.

We’ll be celebrating the dinner and reception with an open bar, and we hope you’ll enjoy the evening with us! Since all the festivities and accommodations are in one place, there’s no need to worry about transportation; just relax and have fun!

Plus ones

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with each of you! If your invitation includes a plus one, we’ve reserved a seat for them and look forward to having them join us. If you’d like to request an additional guest who wasn’t included on your invitation, please reach out to us directly. While we’d love to accommodate everyone, space is limited, but we’ll do our best to fulfill your wishes when possible.
