Things To Do

Acadia National Park

ME

Top highlights in Acadia I recommend: Jordan Pond, Beehive Trail (do not go if you are afraid of heights), Cadillac Mountain- first sunrise in the United States, Great Head trail, Thunder Hole, Sand Beach, Otter Cliffs (where we took our engagement photos), and Bubble Rock. You can also go for a drive down park loop road to see the highlights if you don't have time to hike! Please note there is a $35 fee per vehicle for the week, and reservations are required via the NPS app to drive to Cadillac Summit at any time during the day, but are extremely difficulty to book for sunrise.

Agamont Park & Downtown Bar Habor

Newport Drive, Bar Harbor, ME 04609

Walk the downtown area: browse gift shops, bookstores, and art galleries, sit at a café, enjoy waterfront views. Enjoy local seafood cuisine — lobster rolls, fresh catches, Maine blueberry desserts and beer! Check out Agamont Park looking out at the Frenchman Bay to relax.

Bar Island Land Bridge

Bridge St., Bar Harbor, 04609

The Bar Island Land Bridge is a natural sand and gravel bar that emerges during low tide, connecting Bar Harbor to Bar Island, which is part of Acadia National Park. This unique phenomenon allows visitors to walk from downtown Bar Harbor to the island, offering scenic views and opportunities for exploration. This land bridge is exposed approximately 1.5 hours before and after low tide, providing a unique opportunity to explore the island's trails and enjoy panoramic views of Frenchman Bay. Pro tip- bring your binoculars so you can see our venue across the bay like we did! Please note that the land bridge is submerged at high tide, and visitors should be cautious to avoid being stranded. It's advisable to check local tide charts and plan your visit accordingly.
