Jeremy and Gabrielle met at a Lag b'Omer ping pong tournament at Moishe House Inman Park. They became fast friends and even co-captains of a local recreational tennis league. They both enjoy traveling to new countries, hiking to waterfalls, and experiencing new culinary cuisines.
Gabrielle and Jeremy got engaged at the top of Boca Do Inferno on Sao Miguel Island in the Azores (picture of viewpoint taken by Jeremy below)! When they reached the start of the hiking path, it began to rain heavily and Jeremy worried his surprise plans would be spoiled by the weather. As they made their way towards the top, everyone else at the site was leaving to avoid the rain. By an act of divine intervention, the skies cleared and the sun came out just as they reached the peak of the trail leading to the viewpoint. While approaching one of the most beautiful overlooks imaginable, Jeremy walked ahead of Gabrielle and turned a corner in the path. When Gabrielle rounded the corner, she saw Jeremy on one knee with the engagement ring and the view of a lifetime as the backdrop! Because the rain cleared out all the other visitors, they had the place to themselves, which made for a perfect moment together.
