We are also asking for funds to go towards our honeymoon, location and date to be determined. To donate to our honeymoon fund, please Venmo using @Gabby-Dewson or bringing cash or checks to the wedding!

What will the weather be like?
Answer
Fall in Galveston can range from humid to a bit windy and chilly, temperatures usually range around 75-85 degrees. Bring a light jacket, shorts and jeans!

What is the dress code for the wedding? For the reception?
Answer
Formal! Men should wear suits with ties, women should wear long dresses. The main ask is that you wear something you're comfortable in, just make it a bit dressy! We would prefer you to wear fall colors, and avoid beige, white or off-white. For what we are asking for when we say formal attire: https://www.theknot.com/content/formal-wedding-attire For the reception: Dress to impress and party (there will be a photographer ;) ). Examples include Cocktail attire, fancy dresses, jumpsuits and suits.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Both will be indoors but with outdoors areas!

How do I get to or from the wedding venue?
Answer
We would recommend either driving, walking or uber depending on where you are staying. There is free parking at the venue behind the main building.

Can I take photos?
Answer
While we appreciate your excitement in our day, we are paying to have the ceremony and reception photographed. We will have a couple of moments during the ceremony where you can take your cell phone photos, otherwise we ask you turn off your devices and let the photographer work their magic! During the reception, take all the photos you want, as long as you share them with us!!

What time should I arrive at for the ceremony?
Answer
Ceremony starts at exactly at 5pm. Please arrive 30minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
We are having a small ceremony, and have a tight guest list. If you were given a plus one on your wedding invite then feel free to bring one, otherwise we cannot accommodate your plus one to the ceremony. Feel free to bring a plus one to the reception (just let us know).

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
Answer
Please let us know on the RSVP or reach out to Gabrielle and Brian ASAP so they can work with the caterers to accommodate your allergy/restrictions.

How close are the wedding ceremony and reception?
Answer
They are less than a mile away from each other.

What shoes are appropriate?
Answer
Anything that you are comfortable wearing and dancing in! There is cement/bricks everywhere so no need to worry about sinking into grass with your heels.

ADA accessible?
Answer
The venue is 100% ADA accessible! There are some small steps in locations, but you do not need to use them to get around. The reception is up stairs, without an elevator.

Are there other wedding events we should know about?
Answer
Yes! Prior to the wedding we will be having a welcome party hosted on 10/14/2026 at East beach starting at 5pm! Please feel free to come and go, but we will be leaving around 8/9pm to get a good nights rest before the next day!

Your invitation will clearly indicate the events you are invited to attend. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

How early can I arrive at the venue?

However early you want! Feel free to visit the museum or enjoy the grounds. It's a beautiful venue.

I am coming from out of town, where should I stay?
Answer
It's up to you! The island has a TON of airbnbs and hotels, you truly can't go wrong. Check out the travel tab for some of our favorite suggestions.
