FAQs

If you have any other questions than what isn't posted here, please feel free to reach out to Gabby's Maid of Honor, Rebecca, (317)701-4148!
Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! We wanna be able to celebrate with our younger siblings and nieces and nephews!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We have a registry here on Zola and one on Amazon as well!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

So, in Louisiana, around September, you're still experiencing summer but with heavier humidity. Temperatures would be in the upper 80s to 90s. We ask guests to please dress in semi-formal attire, but absolutely no jeans or flip-flops. Would avoid dressing in darker colors solely because of the heat, and as for the reception, the attire would be business casual as dictated by the restaurant.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Absolutely! There are plenty of good options around the French Quarter that'll be within walking distance of where we're getting married. Hotels that I'd recommend are: Andrew Jackson Hotel, Place D'Armes, Sheraton on Canal Street, and Dauphine Orleans Hotel, along with the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel. There are also plenty of other great Airbnbs!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Everyone should meet at Jackson Square by 1:45. everyone must gather early so we don't lose the allotted time we've been given by the park!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will not be, the French Quarter isn't exactly the easiest to navigate by car. But given the time frame between the ceremony and reception, it'd be easiest to walk.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Bachelorette and Bachelor parties will be taking place a couple of days before the wedding in New Orleans. Other events would be the second line parade, which is a special New Orleans tradition that will be taking place after the ceremony, so remember to pack comfortable shoes! Prior to leaving for New Orleans, there will be a bridal shower! Date, to be determined.

For all the days along the way
