Things To Do

We’re excited to have you in town! All of the wedding activities will all take place in and around the northern suburbs of Chicago. If you have time to explore the area, the downtown communities of Lake Bluff and Lake Forest (along Chicago’s North Shore of Lake Michigan), as well as the town of Libertyville offer plenty of ‘boutique’ shopping, strolling and dining options. Below are some of our favorite spots and recommendations, all within a 15-20 minute drive from the Courtyard hotel.

Gabi & Max are big Thai food fans, and this spot has been the setting for many of their dates. If you go, don’t miss the Khao Soy, Panang Curry (with Duck), or the Thai Khee Mao- they are favorites for a reason.

Tucked into the heart of Middlefork Savanna, one of Lake County’s most beautiful preserves, Elawa has an organic farm, friendly animals, and a great farm-to-table café, plus scenic trails through the prairie and wetlands.
