Wedding Party

Elizabeth Meiser

Maid of Honor

Gab and Elizabeth have known each other since freshman year of high school. They took similar classes, played similar sports, and appreciated the same kinds of social gatherings. After spending so much time together growing in high school, they ended up attending college together at Virginia Tech. Attending college parties and experiencing college life together was such a blast! When Gab moved away to be with Maurice in Michigan, Elizabeth was devastated, but she knew it was time for Gab to take that step. She and Gab remain close today. After all, they each need their number one tall best friend to see them through the tough times!

Bryant Inge

Best Man

Bryant and I met ten years ago as college roommates, but it was soon clear that we would become great friends. We jammed, played Frisbee, went to concerts, obsessed over all things engineering (and beer), and participated in various [REDACTED] shenanigans throughout college. We live apart now, but nevertheless have added music festivals, hiking, biking, and “brewsades” to our joint adventures. Bryant has been by my side during many important times of my adult life, and I am thrilled to have him by my side again here.

Rachael Dohrn

Bridesmaid

Gabriella and I can proudly say that we made it to adulthood still liking each other #siblinggoals and our sisterhood is still going strong. I love our monthly phone chats where I hear about her life updates, like starting her own business, adopting the sweetest fur babies, buying a house, redecorating that house, and Maurice’s proposal! Gabbie is a lively, creative, intelligent, and driven individual. She has already conquered mountains in her first thirty years, and now challenges just inspire her. She exemplifies to everyone around her how to live life to the fullest. Gabbie is a role model to me, she is fiercely loved by her friends, and life has honored me with her as my sister. Gab, all my love to you and Mo on your special day ❤️

Pascal Hensel

Groomsman

According to Pascal, I’m both the best and worst brother he’s ever had. On a serious note, only the two of us share our unique childhood experiences, highlighted by lots of Legos, backyard bamboo forts, and travel. He swears this photo shows an outburst of joy at holding a yellow chick for the first time, but it could also be his maniacal villainous laugh, as he plots to, with the help of broccoli and milk, eventually surpass me in height! I will probably never find as good a partner to cover Red Hot Chili Peppers songs or bomb ski slopes with. Although we live different lives in different places now, we have always counted on each other in moments of need. He deserves credit for the best proposal photo (and photographer disguise), and I am so thankful to have him in my party and family.

Katie Cox

Bridesmaid

Gabbie & I met in our 2 year at VT in the Industrial Design program. It felt like the most natural thing in the world to become friends with Gabbie- I think because it’s hard to imagine life without knowing her. I remember partnering up for a class project: a flat pack picnic surface and blanket that folds up into a bag. I have this funny memory of Gabbie laying down on the ground & rolling herself up in the blanket like a human burrito. Than I knew she was 1 I had to keep. I’m so thankful because that decision to partner up led to more late nights in studio together, conversing with funny accents, countless lunch runs to stuff ourselves with crepes, and moments of laughing so hard it hurt my face. It led to having her with me at my wedding in 2017, and I’m so honored to be here for hers!

Charlie Aquilina

Groomsman

One of my oldest hometown friends, Charlie met me when we started Boy Scouts. I immediately got sick on our first campout, but our later experiences were better: hiking, camping, canoeing, terrible meals, and so many card games. During the winter holidays we played carol music together. I also learned Frisbee with him, and despite our different degree programs we practiced regularly in the field between our dorms. At first we kept losing the disc in the nearby construction site, but eventually we held our own in intramurals! Charlie been there for me even in the most difficult times of my life. I am so happy he is joining me here.

Lauren Meeker

Bridesmaid

Lauren and Gabbie met in 8th grade art class, and while only one of them was actually good at art (Gabbie lol) they formed a fast friendship that led to ski trips and summer vacations through high school. After college, their shared love for entrepreneurship and product development kept them close despite living in different countries.

Louis Blacker

Groomsman

One could say Louis and I have been friends longer than we’ve been alive: our mothers were friends in a birthing group. Growing up we spent many days at each other’s (parent’s) houses, exploring music and math, running around with the family dogs Rascal and Schnuffi, playing ping-pong, FIFA, “crab-soccer,” and most importantly: foosball. The two of us are incredibly well-matched there (best of 89?), and I dare say we also made for one of the best defense pairings in the mid-2000’s era of NoVa U-12 house soccer. I am so grateful for our friendship, for which time and distance have proved no match, and I am honored to see him come here all the way from California.

Nicolas Hensel

Groomsman

As cousins, Nico and I have shared experiences that go back to childhood. I have many fond memories of board games, PlayStation, sledding, soccer, and dog walks in the river park near his parents’ house. Now as a DC resident, Nico has showed me layers to the city beyond what I was aware of growing up, and he joins me to explore Detroit as well (but only in the summer!). I am so glad to have him join me again on this special day.

For all the days along the way
