Our wedding will be in Castell de Tamarit in beautiful Tarragona, Spain. The city is historic and coastal, just south of Barcelona. We’ll be celebrating by the sea, surrounded by ancient ruins, good wine, and great company! The address of the castle is 43008 Tamarit, Tarragona, Spain.
For full descriptions of our dress code, see the "Wedding Events Timeline". For our wedding welcome party think "Beachside Fiesta"- Semi-casual, comfortable, and effortlessly festive. For our wedding, think "Mediterranean Moonlight"- Guests are encouraged to dress formal. Men may wear suits with ties or bow ties and ladies with full length gowns. See this link for a dress code mood board! https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipOaA5qPWF-FSWf1A7QNLepC6KrtXby9Yjx0Lml7y8g1SEb_3XABIN9CH4jWYnq-0A?key=bmt6R2cyM2V0QWFtMUlmNGM4YWdDbTFTR2VMOTBn
We recommend booking flights at least 6 months prior to our date.
We recommend arriving at least two days before the wedding to get settled, adjust to the time zone, and explore the area.
Please refer to your invitation for guest details. We love your little ones, but this is an adults-only celebration unless otherwise noted.
Expect sunny skies and warm temps (mid-high 70s to low 80s during the day and high 50's °F at night). Bring sunscreen, swim suits, sunglasses, and comfy shoes for walking on cobblestone streets!
Not at all! Most people speak some English in tourist areas. A few polite Spanish phrases go a long way though!
As cab services are limited in this area, we will be coordinating buses to assist in transport to and from the castle. We will provide more information on this in the coming months.
Tarragona is full of Roman ruins, beaches, local markets, and tapas bars. MUST SEE STOPS: Catedral de Tarragona The Roman Ampitheater of Tarragona Circ Roma of Tarragona Strolling around Part Alta Taking in the seaside view from the Balco de Mediterrani Central Market of Tarragona Sun tan on one of Tarragona's several playas (aka the beach!) If you are interested in a day trip, we personally recommend the stunning wine region of Priorat for a tasting.
