Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us!

Alissa Ianchis

Maid of Honor

Alissa and I have always been close. We shared birthdays, we shared a room together growing up and even went to the same schools together almost every year. She is someone I look to for support, for advice and even just some good old humor (and thai food). Every season of my life, she has been there for me. She is someone who always brings a smile to my face even when I am down. Now in this season of getting married, I am glad she is by my side.

Zach Carmody

Best Man

We met in 4th grade and grew up together on video games and movies. One of the most loyal friends and a low-key talented drawer. You can rely on this guy if you ever need a laugh, or if you ever need to dig up a random quote from that one movie. Even between hundreds of miles apart, I could always count on him.

Lian Yap

Bridesmaid

I have always known Gabe to admire her and I do as well. She has been a close friend to me since the day I met her. She's is kind, witty, and loads of fun to be around. Over the years, she has become like a sister to me, and she is always there for me when I needed someone to talk to. Can't wait to be her sister-in-law.

Alex Earle

Groomsman

We met in freshman year at Point Loma and toiled through our pre-med years together. He's a faithful person with an iron will and a fighter. He's a gold. If you ever need anything, he'll be there to save the day.

Patricia Ianchis

Bridesmaid

She has been someone I have admired and looked up to growing up, she is someone I have always wanted to be like. I would always *borrow* her clothes and (maybe) give them back, try on all her makeup, and wear her shoes. As an older sister, she always looked out for me and made sure I was being the best I can be and she gives the best advice. She was there with me through everything, and she always will be.

Jacob Yanes

Groomsman

He taught me how to throw a football in middle school and we became friends ever since. Known as the "nicest" guy in the group, he'll always be there for any of his friends. And if you ask around, everyone loves Jacob! He's got everything...but most of all he has a big heart.

Joy Cimpan

Bridesmaid

She and I grew really close this last year. We moved to LA together, started our first big girl job and shared a lot of up and down moments. I had so much fun trying to find ways to stay up late to get ready for night shift with her, (we got really creative). We shared a lot of chick fil a and target runs and days of just exploring Pasadena. She is someone who is witty, smart, and simply a joy to be around.

Brett Aylward

Groomsman

He's pretty much a brother to me and he taught me how to drive stick in his 1996 Saturn, so he's pretty much the reason I met Rachel! We grew up with each other's families, building houses in Mexico, traveling to church summer camp and playing random sports in 120 degree summers.

Emily Ianchis

Bridesmaid

We shared the same room for all of middle school and high school, and although we did fight a lot, we shared some great memories. We would watch movies together, share in each other's sarcasm and I would eat all of her homemade pretzels (and enjoy them). She has always been a loyal sister to me.

John Watts

Groomsman

We met because our 6th-grade teacher decided to alphabetize our seating arrangement, and he asked me for a pencil. After that, we were inseparable and we lived on his Mom's mac and cheese throughout middle school. He's the master of arguing and if you ever win a debate against this guy, let me know!

Daniela Ianchis

Mother of the Bride

She is my best friend, my strongest motivator and the greatest person I know. She is the first person I go to for solving problems or dilemmas. I will always remember studying for Nursing exams together and helping each other on care plans and flashcards. She believed I could be the best even when I did not.

Emil Ianchis

Father of the Bride / Officiant

My father is my role model and the smartest person I know. He has taught me strong Christian values, modeling it every day, and how to live in step with Christ. When I dont know the answer to something, he is the first I go to. He taught me how to drive, dropped me off my first year of college and drove almost 16 hours to pick me up and take me home. He is the person I wish to become like, modeling Christ's goodness.

Alma Yap

Mother of the Groom

One of the strongest people I know, she is both loving and fearless. My favorite memory is that she once fought my elementary school for not giving me an extra banana from the cafeteria. My sisters and I would be nothing without her leading and raising us to be disciplined and faithful. She kept our head on straight and wrapped us in love along the way.

Gilbert Yap

Father of the Groom

He's the man I look up to and the person who made me what I am today. I know what a great father is like because of him, and what it means to be there for someone else. He raised my sisters and me to be humble and to pursue what's in our hearts. I wouldn't be the man I am today without him.
